Publisher's Summary

She was given two choices....

Georgiana Bridgerton isn’t against the idea of marriage. She’d just thought she’d have some say in the matter. But with her reputation hanging by a thread after she’s abducted for her dowry, Georgie is given two options: live out her life as a spinster or marry the rogue who has ruined her life.

Enter option number three...

As the fourth son of an earl, Nicholas Rokesby is prepared to chart his own course. He has a life in Edinburgh, where he’s close to completing his medical studies, and he has no time - or interest - to find a wife. But when he discovers that Georgie Bridgerton - his literal girl next door - is facing ruin, he knows what he must do.

A marriage of convenience...

It might not have been the most romantic of proposals, but Nicholas never thought she’d say no. Georgie doesn’t want to be anyone’s sacrifice, and besides, they could never think of each other as anything more than childhood friends...or could they?

But as they embark upon their unorthodox courtship they discover a new twist to the age-old rhyme. First comes scandal, then comes marriage. But after that comes love...

Featured Article: The Bridgertons Audiobooks in Chronological Order

In a fictional Regency-era London, the Bridgerton and the Featherington families depend on the marriages of their many children. Bridgertons has won over the hearts of millions, and Julia Quinn has likened the series to "a Cinderella story." Shonda Rhimes adapted the series of romance novels into the hugely popular Bridgerton Netflix series. Although a different character inspires each volume of the series, it’s best to enjoy the saga chronologically.

Give Rosalyn Landor an award for her cat sounds!

Pretty good overall. The ending was kinda lame, but I did like the execution of the friends-to-lovers trope. Also: the descriptions of babies A, B, and C Bridgerton were so cuuuuuute!

Cute story

I adored Rosalyn Landor’s narration as I always do, and the cat noises made me giggle and made it worth listening to this book as opposed to reading a paper copy. Story-wise, it’s a cute story but doesn’t really go anywhere which was fine for what I wanted. It’s cosy and doesn’t stress you out too much. Perfect kind of book for right before bed as it’s not really a page turner and won’t keep you up. If you fall asleep and can’t figure out where you left off, you can start pretty much anywhere close to where you think it is and you really won’t miss too much. I’ll probably listen to this one again in the future when I need a good relaxing story.

Love these stories

It was wonderful to hear more about georgi and nic. We got brief moments of them with billy and George and Andrew and poppy’s stories. They really worked well together and it felt right that she would end up with nic and everything that entails with the medical field.

The cat…

I love the Bridgerton novels but the cat in this one was just wayyyy too much! I can’t even finish the book.

No Plot Line

As a Julia Quinn (longtime) fan I am truly disappointed. This is not her usual caliber of work. No plot line whatsoever and slow meandering from one pointless scene to the next. I had to fast forward a good chunk of the novel due to “Cat Head”. Maybe more annoying on the Audible version than reading the physical book? Those sounds! UGH. You know you are out of good material when that is what you have to write about. And please please stop having women / men who sound like they are 70 read parts of young couples in their 20’s. It’s horrible. Narrator was not suitable for this genre.
