Hormel - a man who grew up feeling different not only because his family owned the Hormel “empire” and lived in a 26 bedroom house in a small Midwest town, but because he was gay at a time when homosexuality was not discussed or accepted. Excellent…until the last chapter

And then he lost me. Telling LGBTQ plus folk that nothing will get better if they don’t come out is COMPLETELY TONE DEAF. He never acknowledged his extreme privilege as a wealthy white man. Truly a shake my head moment. No.
