Story
Sean had been through something close to hell - he’d taken out Klein Denmur and Knight Evan Sharpeyes, along with a few of Lord Truestrike’s servants, but Chastity and Lilly died on the fields outside the city. At the end of that battle, he claimed Helga Helsdottir, soul-bonding her and renaming her Helga Oathsworn. With a Valkyrie by his side, Sean hoped never to lose another loved one to death. His enemies were far from done with him, however.

Story
Having accepted the love of both Myna Mooncaller and Fiona Mithrilsoul, Sean discovered happiness he hadn’t ever thought he would know, and began to acknowledge how different this society was from his old world. Everywhere they went, they ran into trouble. First had been bandits, which actually proved to be fortuitous, with Ryann Cullin entering Sean’s service after that attack. The sudden harsh blizzard had been the worst trial they had to endure. Cold that even Sean couldn’t withstand had nearly stopped them in their tracks, but they managed to reach Flento.

Steve doesn’t care who he was. He knows more than enough to realize it doesn’t matter at all. Now living in what had once been the Creeplands and maintaining a thriving farm there, they are under constant siege from the Creep itself. It's still better than life in Lamals. And that’s just how it is. After taking over the Citadel, removing Lynn from her place of power, stopping the Creep’s advance, and starting to take over part of the Creeplands, he was certainly making a difference for himself, humans, and men everywhere.

Story
Gregory and his wives fought honorably and hard to advance to the finals, where their last fight was against the Eternal Flame. With their rigorous training and communication, they managed to defeat the arrogant clan, letting them stand alongside their novice friends as champions. The excitement of being the champions wasn’t the happiest part of their year, though. That came after the tournament, when all five of their friends—Nessa, Daciana, Victoria, Clover, and Ling—joined Aether’s Guard.

Alvin was happy to finally give Gothy one of the things she’d been begging for all along - a plane. So, he was understandably upset when it died in its first, short-lived flight as they helped the Red River Army Depot fend off a horde of zombies from Dallas. Gothy was happy to get a replacement for the plane, however, and the armored vehicle sporting a BIG gun pleased Alvin as well. With the Bradley Fighting Vehicle in their possession, he couldn’t help but wonder what could possibly be a real challenge in the future.

Sebastian Frost was a man with an interesting reputation. He’d killed 12 giants, eight heroes, a duke, and even a prince. But nobody ever talked about any of that. All they talked about was the deviant, disgusting, detestable Herald of Shalia that shamelessly laid with elves. That was because in the strange world based on game mechanics Frost found himself in, laying with elves was somehow treated like laying with animals. Naturally, they weren’t calling him Herald Frost the giant killer....

Every year, the empire administers the rite of passage into adulthood. That rite serves to identify those blessed by Aether to become magi. The new magi are shipped to the academy to learn the arts of magic. The academy is a dangerous place; the tournaments held twice each year can cripple or kill the students, and the clans of the empire will go to great lengths to recruit the students they want. Gregory had one dream: to become a magi like the legends of old. Though he was ridiculed by the residents of the village and his unsupportive father, he never wavered from his dream.

Publisher's Summary
Forged Bonds was growing fast and becoming the talk of the city. Those opposed to Sean and his new association would be forced to act quickly, and so Sean was called to City Lord Sharpeyes’ party, where traps had been laid for him.
After crushing the first obstacle, he was now set to fight a duel as Fredrick’s champion. Sean won the duel handily, once he got past the surprise of facing both Aria and Cuander, Lord Sharpeyes’ prized cuon, and went on to save Aria from death at the hands of Lord Sharpeyes’ son, Knight Evan Sharpeyes.
But Sean’s troubles are just beginning. The plans Lord Sharpeyes have set into motion began to unfold, setting the stage for events that will push Sean to his limits.
(This work contains adult situations that some might find offensive, the least of which is graphic sex. This book is about an Overpowered MC and contains a harem. You’ve been warned.)

I don't even know what to feel about this book.
First of all, i don't think i have ever heard a bad performance by Andrea Parsneau. And this book is no exception.
.
This entire series has been sort of a hit and miss for me. I liked the first book, didn't like the second, loved the third, liked the forth, and this one i don even know...
I liked most of this book, however some parts i didn't like, for example i dont like listening to sexual assaults of any kind no matter how small of a part it plays in a book... Nor do i like the way the author "meta-writes" the story, the antagonists are always a step ahead and the MC only barely manages to keep up. Also, if you have to cripple the MC before every major event so he cant use his full power, in order to make it more interesting, you just shouldn't have given him the power in the first place. What's the point of having an OP MC if he is never allowed to be OP when it counts?
Lastly the ending to this book was in my opinion, terrible. It was frustrating to listen to, it was predictable, it was forced. Some of the antagonists got what was coming to them, and i didn't even care because of how forced the writing felt.

good as the rest.
Though I'd say the title dealing with war is a bit of a misnomer. There was fighting but it's far from a war maybe a cold war at best. it's still more of what you loved from the last books if you read the ones before.

the story ends on a cliffhanger. but I will say yes the book is well worth the wait. having said that I can not wait for the next book to come out. being an 18 wheeler driver makes audiobooks the best way to go. and spoiler the bloopers at the end had me laughing my head off. thank God my trailer was getting loaded when I heard that part. Twists and turns and plot movement, oh my!
What an excellent entry into this stupendous series. At first I was able to put the book down but once I hit the halfway point, it was nonstop reading of epic storytelling.
The development of the plot reminds me a lot of what the MC says: I just want to craft. There is a lot of day to day life happening and I loved it. Some days were sped up or skipped because we knew what was happening, but otherwise we got some great details and pacing in the day to day life of the MC and his bonded.
There was certainly some political shenanigans happening, but not so much as to be intrusive or derailing to the overall story.
The end tied together quite nicely with some surprises, THEN IT STOPPED! A few people have complained about the cliffhanger ending but I thought it was great. I was already going to get the next book in the series, but now I'm going to actively watch for updates until it drops.
Great entry into an intriguing series that I cannot wait to continue.

totally disappointed but keep hoping
I have being given 5 stars on all the books hopping that it gets better on the sex department. But I will give an spoiler as it makes me mad, I was hoping big time on the sex scene with felora as is the character I like the most and hope the author will to something special about her as it has being doing for all but he just gave half of it and left me with blue balls, kinda of speaking and that pissed me off.
The history is great and pretty good imagination, but the fact that he decided not to elaborate on that character sex scenes make it looks clear that he doesn't want to make this for all types of likings, he just want to be everything look pure love and no fetishism at all. I understand it on the first 4 books as he was developing more lovavel characters, but he decided to used a succubus and just left you hanging, that is totally wrong.
Even though I enjoy the whole book a lot and I will be reading the next book and I already have gave him 5 stars on the 4 previous books, even though I wanted more sex scenes, I kept hoping he will at least give one or the great scenes on every book, but cutting the succubus scene is just totally wrong and the only thing I can do about it is make this review and give 1 star as a punishment for not thinking to all audiences
