Formulaic, by the fantastic entertainment. 

Having read some of the commentary on Goodreads, there were some criticisms about the incredulity of events. I found the story threads, entertaining, not necessarily plausible, but a comforting theme overall. I would recommend them as a good feel read, like any HEA plot. Sometimes you just need to relax
