À propos de cet audio
A full-length audio retreat for anyone called to serve, teach, and give comfort to those in need
Eckhart Tolle teaches that when you are aligned with the present moment, you are capable of immense wisdom, insight, and compassion. This lesson is especially important for anyone who has devoted their life to helping those in need. Created specifically for teachers, counselors, nurses, and caregivers in any field, For Those Who Serve is a full-length audio retreat for applying Eckhart’s teachings to the life of service.
Here you will find a training for bringing your whole and undivided self to your life’s work—including skills of complete listening, recognizing the perfection of your clients, accepting change, and learning to rest in the spaces between thoughts.
Here Eckhart teaches you: Why making space for whatever arises is essential to the therapeutic relationshipUnderstanding the sources of emotional pain in your clientsHow to overcome resistance to the form of the present momentMoving beyond labels, old narratives, and concrete identitiesWhy true inspiration requires no thoughtConsidering of the deeper meaning of virtueThe joy of creation without the self-fulfilling desires of the egoHow to explore your thoughts without becoming attached to themWhy suffering can give rise to embodied PresenceBalancing the identities of both form and essenceFor Those Who Serve offers not only the opportunity to explore the spiritual dimension of your calling, but also a celebration of how selfless action itself can change the world.
People who are not familiar with him, or who are not familiar with this format, should know that this is not a book. It is a recording of a retreat. I think that’s fine in itself. However, someone who is unfamiliar might be a bit perplexed by the fact that there is approximately 15 minutes of silence in the piece at one point when the audience and Eckhart are meditating together.
In some ways this can be interesting. It’s a bit like listening to John cages piece “silence “. But in other ways it underscores the fact that this is not a book.
If that fact does not bother you, this can be a great recording to listen to.
