At first I was not sure if I would like but I got sold on this backwoods story and it's characters. I actually started in the middle of this series however I was definitely able to enjoy and was not lost by listening to this novel out of sequence. I look forward to going back to the first novels and this novel resulted in me purchasing other C. J. Box novels. Narration by David Chandler was great for this novel.

I'm a big fan of the outdoors and crime thrillers. Had this Joe Pickett series recommended to me by a family member and I'm already sad for the day this series ends. Love the characters, love the plot twists. Narration is great. My biggest problem is if I start listening I can't stop!
