I'm not a huge fan of high school romance, yet this is the best high school romance I've ever read / listened to. I appreciate the way the author builds layers of theme with her character development. As she presents each character with their flaws and in their own unique place on their journey in life, themes unfold. It seems the relational / emotional layers are well thought out and presented in a logical way. It was impressive that even though the main characters are in high school, they are written with awareness and certain maturity, instead of written in a juvenile soap operish way that is annoying. I do however, prefer romance with older characters, more spice and some mystery.
The narration was pretty good.
