Joe Jameson does an incredibly wonderful job narrating this work. Loving Heyer as I do, it takes something special to bring to life characters you’ve loved for a lifetime and he delivers. Simply fantastic

Georgette Heyer is an excellent author. This “romance” is clever, funny, and so interesting, but not at all mushy or sappy. The ending is satisfying and hilarious.

An excellent story

This story is clever, well written, fun and one of my favourite Heyer novels. I have read it several times and listened to a previous audio version more than once.

I must say however that Joe Jameson does a fantastic job as narrator; much better than the previous narrator who I did like a lot but sounded too ‘old’. He captures different character’s voices extremely well, making them sound distinct, and he does a great job voicing Alverstoke. I do not regret purchasing a second copy of the audio book due to the excellent and improved narration of it.
