Story
In Alan Partridge: Nomad, Alan dons his boots, windcheater and scarf and embarks on an odyssey through a place he once knew - it's called Britain - intent on completing a journey of immense personal significance. Diarising his ramble in the form of a 'journey journal', Alan details the people and places he encounters, ruminates on matters large and small and, on a final leg fraught with danger, becomes not a man (because he was one to start off with) but a better, more inspiring example of a man.

When James quit all forms of social media in 2019 he felt like he'd been born anew, but he was worried he'd suffer withdrawal and get lured back online to compete in a never ending popularity contest with only one possible winner (f--king Zuckerberg). He knew that in order to stay clean he'd have to replace everything social media used to give him with three-dimensional real-life activities.

Publisher's Summary
Alan returns to podcasting, offering his unique perspective on life’s big questions, the hot-button issues of the day, his professional successes and the most intimate details of his personal life in a series he is already calling ‘seminal’. The second series will come partly from the oasthouse—in order to satisfy people who'd rather he didn’t mess with the format—and partly from other locations—to appeal to those who found the original format a bit limiting.

Very grateful for both series.
Coogan's voice acting and the sound production in general is excellent. They somehow manage to keep Alan Partridge of all people relevant today.
If you enjoyed the first series, this is a no brainer. I just hope "tranche 2" (series 3) will actually be coming out and wasn't just a joke.

Pure joy. From the Oasthouse lights up my life.
Pure comedy gold, deeply satisfying. Its just that there is never enough to satify, I keep wanting more. I have been greatly anticipating Season 2. It does not disappoint, just the opposite it delights me to no end. If you like this and haven't already done so try out Alan Partridge audiobooks We Need to Talk About Alan and Nomad, There is a lot of Alan Partridge media out there. It's all great and I think it keeps getting richer. My favourite moments for some reason are when Alan has got himself into a situation where he is hiding. Oh there's songs in this too. Those songs are hilarious, and so well done. Brilliant stuff.

A partridge amongst the pigeons!
In the podcast age, if podcasts were pigeons, Oasthoise II (Tranche 1) spreads its wings like a partridge and shits on the rest. This has something for everyone! It’s probably not going to win any podcast awards. They will go to Ben or Tim or Nat, or some other three lettered name journalist from the Guardian but it would be nice to be nominated! Some great life hacks in here! Nobody should leave their house tomorrow without having listened and learned from the greatest ever!
