Fluff

I love the Stephanie Plum novels and wanted to like this book. Although the story was fast-paced and action-filled, there was not enough suspense, not enough romance, too few real laughs. My disappointment had much to do with the reader, who though skilled, tried too hard to come up with individual voices to help the listener follow a story that was heavily weighted with dialog. This is a novel I think I would have enjoyed more had I read it instead of listened to it.

Full Tilt - full disappointment

If you are, as I am, a fan of Stephanie Plum and Granny Mazar, and the rest of Ms. Evanovich's characters and plots, you will probably be as disappointed in Full Tilt as I was.

I finished listening, but throughout the book, I kept promising myself that if a character uttered the words 'somebody ought to do something' in "this town"'even one more time I was going to delete the book and start something else!

I don't recommend "this book" to anyone!

Characters not complex enough.

I was intrigued by the description, so I bought the book. I am sorry to say I found it disappointing. The book is definitely not thought provoking and the romance left me tepid, at best. At several points I contemplated just not finishing it. Primarily, I wish the character development would have been more complex.

Full Tilt

As a fan of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, I found this book to be a disappointment. The traditional dry humor was missing. Instead, it seemed that it was forced and just didn't reach the same standard.

Awful

I probably would've liked this if I was a teenager in the 50's. Very dissapointing. I wish I had read these reviews.

King is not the ONLY narrator in the world

On occasion she starts in the wrong character voice, can't pronounce common words correctly (entrepreneur) and is the voice of Plum. do better Evanovich, branch out, maybe even live dangerously and hire a male AND a female narrator, instead of one woman and her trans sounding male voices.

No surprises, but no disappointments

The music at the beginning and end of every chapter is odd. Story about what you’d expect - fun, light beach read. Lorelei King is a great narrator but some of her male voices are a little forced sounding.
