Publisher's Summary

Two thousand years in the future. The world is a wasteland, but the women are still gorgeous.

Jack Bowman is out of luck and out of money. That is, until he gets an offer to be a part of an experiment for a major scientific research company. All he has to do is get cryogenically frozen for a few years and he'll be rich. What could go wrong?

Quite a bit, as it turns out.

When Jack's pod splits open and he's met by two beautiful women, he's introduced to a very different world from the one he left behind. There are warring tribes, mutated animals, actual monsters, and even ogres. With so many threats, how can anyone hope to survive?

Lucky for Jack, being frozen was only half the experiment. The other part is swimming around his bloodstream, and it's turning him into something more than human.

Brutal and great.

I can't wait to listen to the rest. Brutal at some parts but amazing all the way.

I mean...

I wouldn't have bought this, but since it's free I gave it a shot. It actually wasn't that bad. Not to cringe. I have nothing else to listen to right now so gonna head to the next one.

Painfully bad

The narrator wasn’t bad but he wasn’t good with female voices.

The story itself was horribly bad it felt like listening to a teenager with a hard-on for marines and for the women’s body (in a creepy condescendant way).
All the characters were superficials (had no depth)!
It was a typical macho man surounded by weaklings that he was convinced, needed saving.
He treated his two saviours like pieces of meat with constant descriptions about their physics because of course we had to be kept up to date on their beauty and what their body looked like in any condition (dusk, working, sleeping…)… with the most inane dialogues.

Oh my god! Everyone words the main character thought or said was so patronizing (with and oversized sense of self importance) that I was wishing for him to die as soon as possible.

I finally gave up on the book after two hours (wasted). Nothing could redeem it! The story plot is weak, you cannot get attached to any character because they are so superficial, description of the fight have too much focus on gore and muscle strength that they’re awkwards, the dialogues are useless and horrible… even the enigma to justify how the world changed while the MC was sleeping is boring and seems botched.

Smutt

Just… No. Reads like the journal of a 14 year old boy’s fever dreams. Not interested in the slightest. DNF.
