Publisher's Summary

Stephanie Plum returns to hunt down a new kind of criminal operating out of Trenton in the 28th book in the wildly popular series by number one New York Times best-selling author Janet Evanovich.

When Stephanie Plum is woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of footsteps in her apartment, she wishes she didn’t keep her gun in the cookie jar in her kitchen. And when she finds out the intruder is fellow apprehension agent Diesel, six feet of hard muscle and bad attitude who she hasn’t seen in more than two years, she still thinks the gun might come in handy.

Turns out Diesel and Stephanie are on the trail of the same fugitive: Oswald Wednesday, an international computer hacker as brilliant as he is ruthless. Stephanie may not be the most technologically savvy sleuth, but she more than makes up for that with her dogged determination, her understanding of human nature, and her willingness to do just about anything to bring a fugitive to justice. Unsure if Diesel is her partner or her competition in this case, she’ll need to watch her back every step of the way as she sets the stage to draw Wednesday out from behind his computer and into the real world.

Always entertaining

The series really needs to be read in order to fully appreciate the characters, and Janet never disappoints. Gramma is always one of my fav’s, and Lula - well, she’s all that and a bucket of extra crispy fried chicken too. Enjoyed the story and had lots of chuckles. thanks for the entertainment!

It Didn't Disappoint!

The last book was a let down for me and I wasn't sure if I wanted to listen to another Stephanie Plum but I'm so glad I did. The plot was different, cyber crime with a crazed killer. Diesel was in hot pursuit of this maniac with Wulf showing up for brief periods. There was wit and several good, laugh out loud moments. Stephanie has decided to settle down with Joe Morrelli and Ranger is her trusty, reliable friend in need. Lula has her ups and downs with losing her hairdresser of many years plus getting shot. Stephanie's Mom (Helen?) decided to quit drinking (hooch) as Grandma Mazur refers to it and takes up knitting. I have all 28 books in this series and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Love this series

I love the writer’s style as well as the reader’s. I have listened to these more than once and get caught up in the story and the easy flow. Love how Stephanie’s vehicles keep getting blown up. And love the interaction between Stephanie and her two men. And now Diesel!!! Great characters. Wow and Great times. I highly recommend this series to those who like a good fast paced mystery with a lot of humour!!!

Game On -28th Stephanie Plum

Even with a Stephanie Plum book without a number in the title, the story was good. Funny as usual. Stephanie is acting a bit more grown up -more independent and capable. Everybody is there though. Enjoy.
