What a Tangled Web they did Weave!

Well researched and written, not to mention superbly read by author, Paddy Ashdown! My passion is WWII stories of courageous, resourceful women and men who fought the 'Shadow Wars', behind enemy lines. Paddy Ashdown ties together neatly(If that monumental task could ever be done completely; Paddy does it best!), all the many books that have come before! His French is first rate and you can hear and feel the tension and passion in his voice as he reads to us. The web of deceit; bluff; move & counter-move in this area of France(Bordeaux) is complex, and you need a "program" to keep up with all the chess moves on the board. But Paddy lays it out nicely and I found that I couldn't wait to listen to the NEXT chapter. A great find, which I highly recommend to all who share the same passion as I. Some other great reads/listens that overlap and explain, and that my Canadian friends(And Everyone), might enjoy are: 'Sisters, Secrets and Sacrifice'(The Incredible NEARNE Sisters), by Susan Ottaway; "Code Name: Lise" by Larry Loftis; 'They Fought Alone'(The Starr Bros. Great Story), by Charles Glass; "Scholars of Mayhem" by Daniel Guiet & Timothy Smith and 'Madame Fourcade's Secret War' by Lynne Olson to name a few GREAT listens! - R. Larocque.
