Full of the language of Christ

Just the remedy I needed. I can hear the God I used to know speaking through John… and I’m leaving space for God to come through again. Thank you John!

Excellent book

I loved this book so much. First of all the narrator has a very soothing voice but the content really makes you think about your life. I love that the author doesn’t ignore the fact that we are to do something other than Just say we have accepted Christ into our hearts. He discusses what to do with our pride and other harmful human traits and opens the eyes of the reader to Just how much there is to be thankful for and how our approach to can hinder us from seeing that. A very encouraging book and I’ll be listening to it again.

Life Changing

This book has offered so many minor but extremely helpful ways to start taking your life back. I have already implemented a few of John’s suggested practices and feel less stressed from worldly news and events and more in control. I also have way more time to spend with our Father. I appreciate how this book is simple, yet truly life changing.

Not what I though this book could be about

If you are a God believer, Christian and read a bible , you will not be impressed about the content of this book. Most of the time the author refer to verses of the bible so for someone who read the bible I already knew most of them.
The other thing that made me feel insulted is that the author say « saying that you don’t do dogs is like saying you are not compassionate » there are plenty of reason why some people don’t do dog and are still compassionate. Just because I don’t have one doesn’t mean that I am not. And not all people who have dogs are compassionate. I know someone who has 3 and is the most cruel person that I have ever known. This person laughs at other people misery, evil but does the fact she has 3 dogs makes her compassionate ? I don’t think so...

Amazing

What I really enjoyed was the real and raw approach John Eldridge takes in describing the current situation in society.
I so enjoy his poetic descriptions and dedication to union with God, on a daily basis, each morning dying to self taking up the cross.
Emphasizing the constant horizontal and vertical relationship building
