Excellent Book on the Mental Side of Weight Los

This is one of the better books about weight loss and the mental aspect of doing so. Siskov, a nutritionist, health coach and counsellor, has managed to really lay out and describe the many issues and reasons most people over eat and "get and stay fat" without blame or judgement. The issues are complex and the book is a good roadmap about what the major issues are.
It's very eye opening.

She has translated good science on eating and dieting into clear and friendly language that virtually anyone with concerns about weight will find both interesting and helpful.

I found Chapter 8 "Overcoming Barriers" especially helpful.
Siskow knows how difficult weight loss can be. She knows that no matter how motivated, or how great one's needs, weight loss in today's world is hard to achieve and even more difficult to maintain.

Silvana Siskov understands the challenges and sympathizes with the reader—teaching, informing, and, reminding us about what works and what doesn't. What more can an honest and caring author do?
