This book is awesome like the rest of the shadow hunter books but I advise to start with city of bones first. Then follow the order she writes them in. They are amazing and I highly recommend you read them all!!!!

I adored the different short stories and the development of events and more in depth perspective of characters from the series. There were some heart warming & precious moments that endeared me to characters maybe I wasn't so focused on before (I'm new to the series). I recommend this book.

This set of stories felt like a salve applied to the shredded mess that was my heart after reading the Infernal Devices series. I fell for Jem so hard and just the idea of him stuck as a silent brother while his friends and the love of his life seemingly moved on was so painful, despite the beautiful epilogue at the end of TID. Seeing him help people as a silent brother, going on side missions, loving on basically every one that he meets was so nice. I LOVED getting to hang out with Jem again and seeing him be happy.
