If you have an unlimited ability to suspend belief this might be okay for you. I prefer Molly Harper for light hearted fantasy. This book definitely didn’t do much for me. The plot is predictable and the characters don’t shine.

I loved this story so much. The author does a great job of bringing out the loneliness and insecurity that makes this relationship so addictive.

I tried physically reading this one but lost interest halfway through... came back to it a year later and decided to listen to the audio. It was good with some cringe and I are rolling moments but all in all not mad I read it.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but it just didn’t work for me. The story was okay but felt immature at times—the romance writing came across like junior high dialogue, and the vulgar language felt forced and awkward. What made it worse was the narration. The female narrator was fine, but the male narrator was incredibly distracting and uncomfortable to listen to—so much so that I fast-forwarded through most of his sections. I later saw reviews describe his performance as “teeth-clenching,” which felt accurate. Overall, not a cozy, enjoyable listen for me.
