Publisher's Summary

Lord of the Underworld, Hades, has decided to leave his home and relocate to earth - my hometown of Chicago, to be exact.

This shouldn't have been a problem, except for the fact that cocky Hades is smexy-hot. I don't know if I want to punch him in the face or jump his bones. In some of my dreams, I'm doing both at the same time.

This is problematic because I've trained my whole life to eliminate monsters sent by the Gods to destroy humans...and for centuries, my family has done everything in its power to stop them. But now I'm the last in my bloodline and a new threat stalks the streets.

Death. And he's leaving bodies in his wake.

Since Hades refuses to regain power over the beast, I'm left to clean up the mess.

But it turns out I won't have to do it alone. More gods come crashing into my life...and into my heart...warriors who are determined to claim me. Apollo, with his bright, intense love; Poseidon, the sea god, whose cool touch calms my inner darkness; then the brooding war god, Ares, with his fire and passion. And lastly, there's still Hades, who fills my dreams with lust and desire. And he has no intention of sharing me.

Except I don't have time to play with the gods; I have a monster to catch. If I fail, I may lose not only my humanity, but also the gods I've grown to love.

This complete paranormal romance series offers scorching-hot, addictive stories that will leave you breathless and begging for you more!

These full-length novels are mythology-based fantasy romances that feature a monster-slaying heroine and her hot Greek gods. Be prepared for heart-thumping fights, steamy love, magic, prophecies, mythical creatures, fantasy, paranormal and mythology legends, and a hell of a lot of Hades!

.Much better voices than story

3 books for the price of 1 seems like a great deal, but there are reasons it's so cheap

Story: I was disappointed with the story. The characters seemed to do and say the same thing in every book. Exactly ZERO character development in any of them. The main antagonist was poorly written and full of cliche. None of his actions ever made sense, he had no plan or goals, and the name they gave him was idiotic. The few voice lines he had were basic cliche villain sayings. His appearance also changed from book to book. Sometimes he had glowing blue eyes, sometimes they were red.
The only main difference between the male characters was their voice actors. They all seemed like roided-out hulks with bronze skin and long hair. The main character claimed (multiple times) that she had a different relationship with each of them, but they were all the same. The ending was stupid and did not fit with the rest of the story. "She was no longer the scared girl.... she was a strong woman" Um, never in the books was she scared or weak, in fact, the author mentioned her strength at least once a chapter if not more. The whole "you have to discover it on your own or it won't work" trope even failed because she basically had to be told exactly what the big secret was. And, if you were hoping for a 4 guys 1 girl sex scene at the end, you'll be sorely disappointed. It's hinted at but skips over the details unlike almost every sex scene in the entire series.

Voice Acting: The voice actors are mostly great with the exception of Persephone by Annieliese Rennie. Her voice didn't fit the character, seemed to have odd inflection in her voice that didn't match the situation, and the recording did not sound as clearly recorded as the others. Rich Miller as Apollo was a bit flat, he has a great voice but there didn't seem to be much emotion or inflection in it, it sounded like he was reading a book not voicing a character. Jeffrey Kafer as Posideon was great, I've heard him before in other books, but I'm not sure if this genre suits him. Similar to Rich, he often sounds like he's reading/narrating not acting, but there is definitely more acting than with Rich. The main character played by Stacy Gonzalez did a great job too. Her voice changed with the emotion and tone of the words, it's not her fault the script was a bit cringe. Ares by Tim Page was also decent, however, his character seemed to lose its uniqueness after his initial introduction. He's the God of War for crying out loud! The star of these books for me was the voice actor who played Hades, James Cassidy. For the series being called "The Rise of Hades," there was a dismally small amount of him in each book. His voice acting was excellent, full of emotions and using different tones and inflections as required. He sounded like he was actually acting as the character. His voice too was the sexiest of them all, and his voice and acting fit the character of Hades very well.

Also, if you plan on having a different voice actor for each character, you should make sure that EVERY line they say is spoken by that actor. So many times I lost track of who said what because the voices were different each time. There were also issues with some of the voiceovers where Persephone's voice actress, spoke her line, but the line was also spoken by whichever character was in 1st person at the same time. Sometimes her voice lines were spoken by her and other times it was the 1st person's character.

Overall, if you're into poorly written stories and characters, and are only in it for the guy's voices and sex scenes, then have at it.
