Publisher's Summary

Terran Strike Marines fight for victory. No matter the odds. No matter the cost.

The final battle against the Kesaht begins.

Lieutenant Hoffman and the exhausted Marines of Valdar's Hammer are called upon to make a desperate assault against the enemy's home world. But the foe is prepared, and their planet is a death trap.

While the Strike Marines fight for their lives, the fabled ship Breitenfeld remains captured by the Ibarra Nation, and the Ember War hero Valdar languishes in a cell. The ship and her captain are held on a strange world of the Ibarra's design, and only the Hammers can free them.

Hoffman and his Strike Marines have fought from the icy wastes of Koen, to the jungles of Eridu, and even deep into the heart of a shattered moon, but their final mission will demand a price in blood.

From the Dragon Award-winning, and Nebula Award-nominated Richard Fox and Scott Moon, Gott Mit Uns throws the Terran Strike Marines into the fight of their lives.

The thrilling final installment in the Terran Strike Marines series.

Great Book

I couldn't stop listening. Maybe when I had to attend meetings and join conference calls; but there was no TV.. The underlying humor was enjoyable - memories is what gets everyone through the life and hard times of being a Marine, even futuristic ones.

The future Marines are like the old Marines are about God, Country, the Marine Corps.

A worthy conclusion!

I have a familiarity with the universe created by Richard Fox, which may be why I enjoyed this so much, (warning, not the place to start the series, but if looking for 5 Mil Sci Fi audiobooks packed with action, I highly recommend the series) the story brings an end to Terran Strike Marine LT Hoffman’s exploits. A must read for any fan of the Ember War series, Lastly, Luke Daniels is fantastic.

Great finisher for the series

All of Richard Fox's books in the Ember War universe connect to each other and some ruin concurrently with others. They have all been great stories to listen to and have provided me with many hours of entertainment.

still awesome

I don't know how they keep this series so good with so many books but it's still great.

A little bit garbled.

I love all of these books and this one is no exception. but... it is a little jumbled toward the end. not in terms of writing but when they put it all together the last half of the book has some parts out of order. the last hour is especially jumbled. thankfully I was able to put it all together in my head but I think they need to fix it.

was not a smooth story

the narration was the same as it's always been for these series of books pretty good. However this book felt like it was missing entire sections. Some sections even felt like they were out of sequence. I had to listen to the book twice and I still couldn't figure out some of the stuff. I honestly believe that the six-hour long stories are half a book. I have yet to find the other half of this book. I'm tempted to return this book because the story was so incompletely told.
