Half-angel Trinity and her bonded gargoyle protector, Zayne, have been working with demons to stop the apocalypse while avoiding falling in love. The Harbinger is coming…but who or what is it? As tensions rise, they must stay close together and patrol the DC streets at night, seeking signs of the Harbinger, an entity that is killing Wardens and demons with no seeming rhyme or reason.

Publisher's Summary
Danger, betrayal, and enticing forbidden love clash in book three of #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout's Harbinger trilogy!
When Angels Fall
Trinity Marrow has lost the battle and her beloved Protector. Even with both demons and Wardens on her side, Trin may not win the war against the Harbinger.
Bringing Lucifer back to the world to fight the Harbinger is probably a really, really bad idea, but they're out of options—and the world's ultimate fallen angel is the only being powerful enough to impact the outcome.
As Trin and Zayne form a new and more dangerous bond and Lucifer unleashes Hell on earth, the apocalypse looms and the world teeters on the end of forever. Win or lose, one thing is certain—nothing will ever be the same.

this was a great story. hoping there is a continuing book coming out. I just found that throughout the books there wasn't enough distinction between voices or they flawed into the same voice at times. I'd have to rewind to remember who was talking. Great modern day take of my favorite type of stories!

Nothing extraordinary...
I liked the story, it was ok. With this said, I was quite dissapointed because I expected soo much more... I do love JLA's books and writing in general, but this story didn't do it for me, there are some parts that I loved, but soo many that I found rather dull, I did enjoy it and I do recommend it because I believe is an adequate ending for the whole series but I couldn't find myself giving it more than 3 stars because It didn't cut it for me.

cring
liked the first book, but then it went down hill. it felt like they tried too hard to keep it "quippy" and using modern pop culture references but it was so forced I could barely get past the first few chapters. I am trying to finish merely for the story but it's so frustrating because it's all filling words with meaningless banter or thought description.

Needs a new narrator!
Overall the story is good. I liked the h in this series better than in the Dark Elements series. But for the love of God, please get a new narrator for the next series! I can’t even describe how bad and annoying she is to listen to. It makes me wonder if the authors ever listen to the audible. So I do recommend this series but maybe read instead of listen.

So Repetitive and Tedious
I got so sick of the same thing being said over and over again. Yes we know what Zane smells like, yes we know demons are naked, and yes we know that Trinity is impulsive.
It’s weird, I was so sad for Zane in the first series for Laila and I absolutely LOVED that series but this series was such a disappointment. I didn’t really like Trinity and quickly started to dislike Zane too. Sometimes he’d say the most terrible things about her and I’d think dang, If you think she’s that bad how can you possibly love her? I mean I get it man, she annoys me too, but it’s real hard to buy in.
Also, why did we talk so much about plot lines that never came to fruition!? It was such a weird roller coaster and I just was not there for it. Glad it’s over tbh.

Too face paced
This third book is a bit disappointing. The performance was good just like the last two, however I feel this was just drawn out, and then really fast paced at the end. I feel as though nothing really happened and then in a short couple of chapters it was over.
*****SPOILERS*****
Peanut.. I LOVED peanut on the first two books, but how she has portrayed her father and twisting to really being peanut this whole time was a drag. I feel JLA could have done a better job with this book but rushed it to have the set complete. Yes, yes I know she left it open at the end for possibly more books, but this one I honestly felt wasn’t that captivating. The second book left me in tears and this one just left me in awe at how bad it is compared to the first two.

Great Series
I was introduced to this story with this series. I wasn’t aware of the early books which covers history of these characters. It is explained and the previous series is not necessary to enjoy this one. I am new to this author and I feel she did a great job. The narrator did well also. It is well written and did not drive me crazy with a whining protagonist which can happen when it is a high action unconventional fantasy. A great book & series!

Waaaay too much lovey dovey BS
So I pre- ordered this book. I adore the quick witted banter of the characters, the supernatural story line, the premise of religion being less than people think.
But I found myself screaming at ever chapter that had an indepth detail about how great a kiss was and all the passion and every touch was too much. GAG! It reminded me of why I stopped reading Sherryln Kenyon. To the Author: if you continue this series, you have AMAZING characters, develope them more and please bail on the lovey dovey stuff. Its sooooo over done.

One thing I really like about Jennifer L. Armentrout books is the fact that she pretty much explains everything that happened in previous books as well as all the different characters and connections instead of just presuming that the reader recently read the prior books in the series.
I did listen to these three books right after each other. However, it is nice for people that either read them right after each are published and wait between books or skip one of the books in the series. I wish more authors would do that. I don’t know how many times I have read a book and forgotten much of what was in the previous book.
The same narrator did this entire series and I really enjoyed her. The storylines were fantastic. Though one story persisted throughout this three book series, each book had its own separate storylines as well. This one had a lot more humor than the other two. I absolutely loved Lucifer getting all caught up in watching Lucifer on Supernatural.
I have to admit though that the story moved a bit slow in the first half of the book. However, once Lucifer came on the scene it did pick up. Trinity and Zayne went through a whole new set of trials and tribulations and had all the love and chemistry of a great romance. I missed Trinity’s ghost friend Peanut through much of this book, but he showed back up not long after Lucifer for some great comic relief as well.

Holy Moly
This book was everything I wanted it to be and so much more!
Zayne well he is a miracle let’s be honest who saw that coming? I know I didn’t the ins and outs of how it all went down. I was in shock and the Crone and the role she plays never would have put two and two together you just never know.
Trinity’s strength shines through in this book and I loved seeing her come into herself.
Also Peanut!! I mean if you know you know… WHO knew! Ha.
Also can we talk about Lucifer for a second, I loved him. I know that sounds weird because it’s Lucifer but he gave some much needed comic relief.
I am so re-listened to this series this week I needed it.
Fantastic narration too, I really liked Lauren Fortgang’s voice, and her character voices are perfect.

This book starts where the last one left off, Trinity lost the battle against Gabriel and Zayne. Now she needs to find a way to fight back, she will try to bring Lucifer top side and find a way to destroy The Harbinger.
