Guts and Glory Brick by Jeanne St James Book 6 in her In the Shadows Security Series is fun, intense, emotional, full of drama and suspense. The author has this incredible to fill her characters with life I love this story of Brick a service man broken from his past choices as a sniper and now he works with with In the shadows security and his next assignment he has to play house with a women for his cover and he is the king of one night stand and hookups. To make matters more complicated his cover wife is his team member Mercy's sister in law Londyn and she also is a broken soul always looking for love in all the wrong places. This story is emotional and addictive. The narrators Ava Lucas and Teddy Hamilton were amazing you will fall in love with the depth they add to the characters. A must listen too Audible

Entertaining and steamy

The sixth book in the series and wow, I loved it. It was a fantastic addition to the series. I think I have a new favourite book boyfriend. Narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Ava Lucas who did a great job with the narration, I was engrossed in the storyline from the first to the last chapter and couldn’t wait to see what Ms. St James had in store for Brick and Londyn.
The chemistry and passion between them was off the charts and yet underneath you can feel the attraction and love that is building between them. I loved how feisty and sassy Londyn is and I fell hard and fast for Brick., he ticked all the boxes for me.
The story was well written, gritty, raw and the performances by Teddy and Ava really added to my overall enjoyment of the story. The banter between them had me laughing on numerous occasions as they embark on an undercover assignment and the suspense that is throughout the story added an additional layer.

Fat shaming...nope

This was auto click for me because of Teddy Hamilton but I didn’t finish.

I am so tired of these authors making it a big deal when they write about fat/curvy leads. They spend so much time on their (leads) insecurities with being fat/curvy that typically aren’t seen in their skinny, model type statuesque leads. I read for escape not to hear that because a female has cellulite and no thigh gap they feel less desirable! They don’t do this with skinny leads! You never hear them write about a skinny lead getting insecure because their hip bones poke out! Newsflash... we do have curvy females that are confident about their curves and don’t have inner dialogs about what jiggles when getting it on!

Teddy was awesome with both male and female as usual. Ava was good but her male voice needs work. Her male representation was stoic, flat, emotionless. The love scene narrated by Ava struck me as what it would sound like if a female was making love to a robot 🤷🏽‍♀️

holy cow!

First, I cannot explain how much I love the dirty angels series! favorite EVER!
Then thus series. loved them all. but hy cow the end of thus book is my absolute favorite 😍 💓
I've been waiting for that since I started reading the DAMC books. LOVE IT.

Great listen

As always another great in this series. Loved the chemistry between Brick and Londyn and the storyline keeps you intrigued. Teddy Hamilton and Ava Lucas did great with these characters.

Brick & Londyn!

I don't know where the ideas come from, but each book Jeanne St. James writes is original and exciting. Brick is a former Navy seal, now working for Diesel and Shadows Security. He is sent on a case with his pretend wife, Londyn with the distinct orders not to touch her. No problem for him, he isn't interested in a relationship, and they were on a mission. But the chemistry is palpable, the danger high and the tension to strong. Proving their target is a killer is the first priority, right? I absolutely love this couple. Brick appears to be carefree, but he has so many layers to him and Londyn gets to peel them away. Londyn is amazing. I think she is my favorite female of all the books. Resilient, loving and entirely too brave, she is ready to take on the world for her man. And the case they are on is exciting and suspenseful! I loved every minute of their journey. Then the surprise in the epilogue was just icing on the cake! Another fantastic book!

Ava Lucas and Teddy Hamilton bring the story to life. Lucas finds all the nooks and crannies to Londyn, giving her all the strength and passion to her. With her narration, the nuances carry her feelings and courage. Hamilton gives Brick complexity to his personality. From alpha male to fear to love, it's all there in his voice. A fantastic casting choice for this book, it's one you do not want to miss.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I loved this book! They way Brick loves faults and all brought tears to my eyes.

LOVED IT!

Loved Brick and London together! Didn't think I'd like either one of them at first, but in the end I loved them both! Was on the edge of my seat when Brick and London were on the case! Great writing!

Not just yeah, but hell yeah!!

Well worth the purchase. Loved the story and the narrators are the best. I started to listen to this book before I fell asleep one night and my husband rolled over several times to ask WTH I was giggling about. Lol I love a story that can draw a spontaneous laugh. We all need an extra laugh in our lives. Teddy Hamilton and Ava Lucas were stellar. Can't wait to purchase Magnum.

Brick & Londyn

What a wonderful book. The story was great, it was hot and that ending was the best!! Definitely a good series and so great to have more of the DAMC. I'm so sad that its ending but looking forward to the next generation of DAMC in the future and hopefully with the children of the shadow security men as well. Teddy did and always does a wonderful job on his narration. His voice is just that sexy. Ava does great too but this time I found it hard to listen to her narration of Londyn when she was talking as her. Geez it was like nail scratching a chalkboard and just made it irritating for me. She has used it before in a secondary character and that was fine, but listening to it all the time was horrible. Don't let it discourage you from listening to this book. It's probably just me.
