Publisher's Summary

The New York Times best seller - part of the expanded universe based on the award-winning video game series Halo!

It's 2524. Harvest is a peaceful, prosperous farming colony on the very edge of human-controlled space. But humanity has unknowingly trespassed on holy ground - straying into the path of the aggressive, theocratic empire known as the Covenant. What begins as a chance encounter between an alien privateer and a human freighter soon catapults all of mankind into a struggle for its very existence.

But humanity is also currently locked in a bitter civil war of its own: the Insurrection. With resources strained to the breaking point, the ultimate survival of Harvest’s citizens falls to a squad of battle-weary UNSC Marines and their inexperienced colonial militia trainees. In this unlikely group of heroes, one will stand above the rest - a young Marine staff sergeant named Avery Johnson....

I enjoyed having two narrators for this story

I have read the books for this series and the audiobook hold up quite well. I like how they had two narrators, a male and a female. I think it would be a good idea to have the all male voices by one and all female voices by another. if you listen you may understand what I mean. Overall this was a good book.

Love these stories

Even though the game and books were written years ago, I still find them very enjoyable.

Marvelous

I've read this book before and loved it. I was truly concerned because I didn't know what to expect, like will the voices sound the same as if I had read it myself? It would turn out to not only be a resounding no, but a much better job than I could have ever done. Bravo to all of you, I was blown away!

phenomenal

Loved it so much the story was on point, the performance from readers drew me into the story and this is a prime example of a halo audiobook done right.

It’s pretty good

It was a bad ass story with some good voice actors I like it but I will admit I did get confused at some points but it didn’t really ruin that much. Overall 10/10
