Publisher's Summary

An original full-length novel set in the Halo universe and based on the New York Times best-selling video game series!

August 2558. Rion Forge was once defined by her relentless quest for hope amidst the refuse and wreckage of a post-Covenant War galaxy - years spent searching for family as much as fortune. But that was before Rion and the crew of her salvager ship Ace of Spades encountered a powerful yet tragic being who forever altered their lives.

This remnant from eons past, when the Forerunners once thrived, brought with it a revelation of ancient machinations and a shocking, brutal history. Unfortunately, the Ace crew also made dire enemies of the Office of Naval Intelligence in the process, with the constant threat of capture and incarceration a very real possibility.

Now with tensions mounting and ONI forces closing in, Rion and her companions commit to this being’s very personal mission, unlocking untold secrets and even deadlier threats that have been hidden away for centuries from an unsuspecting universe....

One of the best Halo novels, by far!

An absolute joy to listen to this book. Tim Dadabo is at the height of this 343 Guilty Spark game and made this already fantastic novel even better. The story alone is superb. The writing, amazing! it really pulls you in! Halo hasn't had this kind of deep mystery in a while and really captures what made the first few games so enthralling. 11/10 Make sure you give this one a listen.

Awesome book and finally good narration!!

great trilogy, and an incredibly put together work of literature. I have listened to this multiple times and each time I notice a few more details which puts me in awe at just how well the halo universe is constructed.

narration on this is finally up to the standard of of a halo!! As far as I'm concerned I would be more then willing to pay a premium to have Timothy Dadabo narrate the first two novels!!

Great listen

Love they have other stories in the lore of the halo universe that tie in and provide background for side characters of the series

Amazing Narration

Having this narrated by the original actor elevates an amazing story to even greater heights.

Amazing if you love forerunner lore

Overall great, voice distinguishing can be tough at times but getting the VA of Guilty spark is a treat. Would be ideal to read the forerunner trilogy (especially silentium) prior although not really required and you won’t miss out on much.
The novel is beyond amazing. I’m actually very sad on the ending because the forerunner/spark dynamic mixed with Rion was phenomenal and (without giving too many spoilers) the dynamic has very much changed. This is a near gold tier book of you love the forerunner trilogy and the Rion saga thus far
