I enjoyed this story and the spin on beauty and the beast. The narrators were great, conveyed strong emotion and tone, and helped to set the scene. The only exception was the male narrator’s take on female voices… whiny and off putting. I encourage you to look past it because the story is worth a listen.

The story was really cute and I really liked the female actress doing both parts but every time the male voice actor did the female parts, I was pulled right out of the story and mood of the book.

At first, the male narrator’s voice was a bit offputting. But, after listening for a while, I started to enjoy it and found his voice over for Jolie to be perfect and made the funny parts even better. The story was sweet and well paced. I’ll definitely dig into the series!

While the story is charming and funny, the MMC’s voice is a bit over the top in the attempt to be gritty and tough. when he speaks as the FMC it’s unbearable to listen to . I’ll be finishing this by reading it. . .
