Also in 2016, J.K. Rowling made her screenwriting debut with the film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. A prequel to the Harry Potter series, this new adventure of Magizoologist Newt Scamander marked the start of a five-film series to be written by the author. The second film in the series, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was released in November 2018.

The script book of the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two was published in 2016. The original screenplays of the Fantastic Beasts films are published too: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018).

As well as receiving an OBE and Companion of Honour for services to children's literature, J.K. Rowling has received many awards and honours, including France's Légion d'Honneur and the Hans Christian Andersen Award.

I'll admit this story didn't captivate me quite as much as the other -- maybe I should have taken a break between books -- but Jim Dale is phenomenal and totally makes Harry's world come alive.

I love the Harry Potter series. It brings me so much nostalgia, and I always leave it feeling like anything is possible. I love Harry's magical world. Things start really getting intense this book and you can tell, JK Rowling has become very comfortable in her writing (in a good way).
Jim Dale is clearly a talented narrator, however I do not agree with all his voice choices, I feel he makes a number of characters sounds super whiney and annoying when I do not see them as such (except I do agree, Hermoine does get a bit annoying this book). After much listening, I was able to overcome that though. The only thing that continues to drive me crazy is how he makes Hermoine say Harry's name. It sounds too drawn out and whiney, reminds me of a little kid saying "moooooom" when they really want candy and the mom says no.
Other than that, I really enjoyed this book and will continue to listen.
