This book showed me how hate filled people are. some of the scenes stuck with me for a long time after I read it. It is in my top 10 of favorite horror book. then I found the audio book of it and couldn't resist.
The Narrator is excellent and made the audiobook even more horrific as he has this fatherly / grandfatherly tone. All I could picture was The Princess Bride where the grandfather was reading to his sick grandson. Seeing that wholesome scene in my head while hearing this tale of extreme hate and violence made this a whole new experience.
Even if you have read the book, I recommend the Audiobook.
