Publisher's Summary

Okay, maybe hijacking an alien commander's warship wasn't her best idea....

Genius computer geek Wren Traynor prefers her high-tech comp lab to socializing with people, and she definitely prefers it over crawling through the bowels of the huge Eon warship she's hijacked. When Earth's Space Corps blackmails her into this deadly mission, Wren will do anything to help her beloved sisters and save the Earth from invasion by the insectoid Kantos aliens. That includes entering into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the tall, hunky, and seriously enraged Eon war commander who captains the Rengard.

War Commander Malax Dann-Jad is a born protector and has forged a successful career in service to the Eon Empire. Haunted by an early mission where he lost good warriors, he's dedicated to protecting his ship and its crew. Especially since his warship is carrying a special, top-secret cargo. But one tiny, infuriating Terran puts all that at risk when she commandeers his ship and refuses to listen to reason.

When the ravenous Kantos set their sights on the Rengard - using sneaky, underhanded tactics - Malax finds himself with an armful of curvy woman. He and Wren must join forces to fight back and are shocked at their improbable, intense attraction. But with lives at risk, both will learn that strength comes in more ways than one and love can hit when you least expect it, and that in order to survive, you have to put everything on the line.

So good

I got book one and I’ve since fallen in love with this series. I can’t stop listening. I’m going on to book four and I love the action and love story mixed in. It’s wonderful.

Hacked

Wren Traynor has hijacked the Eon ship Rengard and is attempting to get the ship to the rendezvous point so she can fulfill her part to save her sister Eve. Only, she doesn't know that circumstances have changed for Eve and Lara, and she certainly isn't going to take the word of the War commander whose ship she's overtaken when he tries to convince her to give up.

Malax Dann-Jad is furious that his ship is being hijacked... by a Terran female no less. There are so many dangers with him not having full control of the ship, not the least of which is his growing fascination with Wren and her abilities to get through his tough warrior shell.

Things get dicey when the Kantos get involved yet again, and cause an out of ship experience as well as an impromptu trip to an abandoned planet.

I love this series and have to rein in my urge to gush and give away too much. Suffice it to say that this third book delivers and I wait with bated breath for the next one.

A Winning Combination! Can I give this 10 stars?

While Anna Hackett is one of my favorite authors, Vivienne Leheny has become one of my favorite narrators. The pair rate 10 stars out of 5 stars for me!

Hackett's adventures are known to be packed with action, innovative and cool scifi details and romance and this bo is no different. This is one of my favorites because of the regular but brainy and quirky heroine whom I relate to more than the buff warrior women.

Even better was all of the voices of Vivienne Leheny. She makes the story come to life and the way she narrates just plain makes sense.

If you are on the fenceabout this audible book, don't be. it'll be one of the most enjoyable adventures you've been on!

Note: I was given this recording for an honest review.

Great Syfy Romance

This is a great series for fans of syfy romance and of the first three, I think this is my favorite. Wren is a bit different than her sisters (books 1 & 2) in that she is not athletic, graceful or strong. But what she lacks in these areas, she more that makes up for in the smart geek department. Malax, our hero has his hands full with someone who needs all his protective instincts (this woman could trip on a line painted on the sidewalk!) to keep her safe. Another winner and I'm really looking forward to the next in this series. Enjoy!

I am just loving this series so hard. The characters are great. There's action, humor and loads of heat. What more could you want in a book. Highly recommend

Is this even in the same series??

The first 2 were incredible, with strong women who made good choices and had pride.

This one started out awesome. The heroine seemed awesome and kickass like her sisters...and then they had a single sexual encounter and she gets all gaga over him. Worse, he essentially disses her in a room full of people, proceeds to treat her like she's not shit and she instantly forgives himbafter he says something nice to her.

So over weak, insecure, needy women in books with brooding men who are completely resistant to them as love interests. She says cringey shit everytime they're alone that makes me embarrassed to even listen to.

Don't get me wrong, he's not horrible. He's kind and caring and is only an asshole for like 10 minutes and isn't cruel at all, but she just completely takes it and puts herself out there like she has no pride and instead of making him pay for it for a bit she's just instantly receptive to him. Also, no one who was just cheated on by a cruel scum bag would instantaneously believe that another woman is just completely delusional and he's not really in a relationship with her. No one. She took no convincing.

What's ironic is one of the things I love so much about this series is that she doesn't put unnecessary problems between the MC's just so there's drama between them. The h/h relationship challenges are realistic and resolved quickly. I think I just couldn't get past her initial weakness.

With that being said, this author is phenomenal and I'm sure I'm the exception to not liking this one so much. So I wouldn't suggest anyone miss it. We all just have priorities in a story and a strong heroine is number 1 for me. She was "strong" in other ways. She just didn't have pride and that turns me off instantly.

I loved the updates on the other 2 at the end and CANNOT wait for Kiss of Eon to be released on audio format. Hard and e copy is released tomorrow. Hoping the audio is soon to follow!! Can't find an ETA anywhere so will just have to keep checking.
