Popular author Lutishia Lovely has made a name for herself with novels exploring the relationships, sex lives, and secrets of a lively church congregation.

In Heaven Forbid, the Gospel Truth Church has lost its pastor to a scandalous downfall and is in dire need of a new leader. not christian lit . . . Be aware!

. . . . just thought I'd advise those abstaining from certain content (notice, I said be aware not beware).

We know that there is sex, homosexuality, and profanity in the world but when I purchase an inspirational or christian selection I am looking for a departure from that that contains true inspiration free of the world's way of entertaining the masses.

While the setting is often in and the characters are members of a church, that does not make the content inspirational or christian.

I feel the book would have been just as good if it mentioned certain things versus enacting them and creating the inevible visualizations. It isn't a bad read, just well . . . :-) You choose.

Truth be told

This book was horrible, the narrator was not good, and there was so many different stories. It was all over the place from one to the next. Totally not a good book did not enjoy it at all. A full refund credit is due for this book.

Refund is needed.

NOT BAD AT ALL!

This was a good listen. The storyline was unpredictable and held my attention from start to finish.

Lawd! Lawd! Lawd! Heaven forbid Indeed!

This has fast become one of my favorite "church series." My only question is will Princess get what she deserves in Rapheal or is Kelvin actually her Prince? Is Rev. Dr. O actually divorcing Mama Max and will the ministry continue to be blessed because of their impending divorce? And is marrying a Noble woman the answer? Hmmmm what about Passion and Stanley, DL or just low-down and really confused? OMG! The Gospel Truth and its friends and their churches have some serious drama and Lovely tackles it all--what a blast! Excellent read...download it today, you will not be disappointed!

Good listen!

Would you consider the audio edition of Heaven Forbid to be better than the print version?

I'm a fan of author and she always brings a good story line.

Have you listened to any of Simi Howe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She did a wonderful job in bringing the story to life.

So-so

What did you like best about Heaven Forbid? What did you like least?

There were no loose ends.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lutishia Lovely? Why or why not?

Sure.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the pastor's wife found his blow-up doll and porn collection.

Any additional comments?

It was very easy to confuse the characters Passion and Princess, since they both have such playful names. Passion, as a first lady's name, doesn't seem believable. I really don't understand her motivations at all, after finding out that her husband had been wearing women's underwear and had a secret male lover. It just doesn't make sense how she could go from being so upset about her sexless marriage to being so desperate to help
