Publisher's Summary

Narrated by the visionary founding member, Hell's Angel provides a fascinating all-access pass to the secret world of the notorious Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club. Sonny Barger recounts the birth of the original Oakland Hell's Angels and the four turbulent decades that followed. Hell's Angel also chronicles the way the HAMC revolutionized the look of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle and built what has become a worldwide bike-riding fraternity, a beacon for freedom-seekers the world over.

Never simply a story about motorcycles, colorful characters, and high-speed thrills, Hell's Angel is the ultimate outlaw's tale of loyalty and betrayal, subcultures and brotherhood, and the real price of freedom.

My mistake for choosing it but my god it sucked.

good at the end

funny but repetitive for the first 75%.. but tolerable to finish- last quarter of book gets exciting and interesting. also it really did change my view that was programmed by false education (almost like racism ) of who the hells angels are

it was okay

What did you love best about Hell's Angel?

Sonny seemed pretty friendly...

If you’ve listened to books by Sonny Barger before, how does this one compare?

No.

What about John Pruden’s performance did you like?

It was fine.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

somewhat

Any additional comments?

It sure seemed like a lot of the HAMC activities were glossed over. I did expect a lot more information, but I guess that might not be allowed. Sonny made them sound like they are pretty friendly.

Sorry, but I found it boring.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend this only to a friend who thought he was a bad ass biker dude. I found the stories boring and childish.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Righteous

articulate and with great details. only the usa could produce a Sonny Barger, this book is very much worth the price. they got the right narrator too.

Absolutely fucking loved it.

I bought the physical copy of this book and the rest of the Sonny bargers books. Get a perspective of the club that's hardly heard of.

A fantastic insite

This book is a great story of wild times, rides, and trips with a wild man. This isn't a kicking in the door feds bs about a gang its the honest story of a man and club.

A must for any true biker

An excellent book, from an amazing man. It gives the history of the Hells Angels like only Sonny himself could tell it. He doesn't just talk about the good times. He's also reflects on the bad times with a no bullshit approach. I have personally read it 3 times and highly recommend it to any true biker out there! I've read it 3 times and will probably read it another time in the near future
