For eight years, two outlaw biker clubs fought to control street-level drug sales in Quebec, Canada. The notorious Hell's Angels went up against local drug dealers, the mafia, and a rival biker club, the Rock Machine. Many unfortunate bystanders got caught in the crossfire. Among members of the outlaw motorcycle clubs, Caesar Campbell is a legend. Former sergeant-at-arms and chief enforcer for the Comancheros, Caesar became the founding member and sergeant-at-arms of the Australian chapter of the Bandidos. He epitomised bikie culture - unbeatable in a fight, brutal in the extreme, fearing no one and nothing, and loyal until death. Story
"We are the people our parents warned us about" is the motto of the Bandidos, one of the world's most feared outlaw motorcycle gangs. For ten years, Steve Utah was a Bandidos insider. He arranged the security of their clubhouses. He 'cooked' ecstasy and ice for them. He was at meetings where interstate and overseas drug and weapons smuggling was planned. He saw stolen military weapons being sold. He witnessed vicious beatings, helped dump corpses. It all became too much and, in an attempt to regain control of his life, Utah resorted to the unthinkable....

Fame can be addictive. From his early days videotaping crazy skateboard stunts to starring in the blockbuster Jackass franchise, there was little that Stephen “Steve-O” Glover wouldn’t do for attention. Whether it was stapling his nutsack to his leg, diving into a pool full of elephant crap, or routinely risking death invading the private lives of sharks, lions, tigers, and bears, almost nothing was out of bounds. And as the stunts got crazier, his life kept pace.

Publisher's Summary
Narrated by the visionary founding member, Hell's Angel provides a fascinating all-access pass to the secret world of the notorious Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club. Sonny Barger recounts the birth of the original Oakland Hell's Angels and the four turbulent decades that followed. Hell's Angel also chronicles the way the HAMC revolutionized the look of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle and built what has become a worldwide bike-riding fraternity, a beacon for freedom-seekers the world over.
Never simply a story about motorcycles, colorful characters, and high-speed thrills, Hell's Angel is the ultimate outlaw's tale of loyalty and betrayal, subcultures and brotherhood, and the real price of freedom.

An excellent book, from an amazing man. It gives the history of the Hells Angels like only Sonny himself could tell it. He doesn't just talk about the good times. He's also reflects on the bad times with a no bullshit approach. I have personally read it 3 times and highly recommend it to any true biker out there! it was okay
What did you love best about Hell's Angel?
Sonny seemed pretty friendly...
If you’ve listened to books by Sonny Barger before, how does this one compare?
No.
What about John Pruden’s performance did you like?
It was fine.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
somewhat
Any additional comments?
It sure seemed like a lot of the HAMC activities were glossed over. I did expect a lot more information, but I guess that might not be allowed. Sonny made them sound like they are pretty friendly.

Outstanding Book!
First things first, MUCH LOVE & RESPECT to the Club and our “Chief”.
Sonny is the one who made the club what it is today. The “Chief” gives you an insight from his point of view. From the beginning as a young man to the Army and the journey to becoming the iconic figure he is today. Love him ,hate him, or whatever u may think about him or the club, nothing will ever change the fact Sonny Barger is and will always be a Legend. Happy Birthday Chief, much Love & Respect “AlwaysUs JustUs” Long Live the mighty Red & White. ~Known Associate 🔴⚪️

Gotta respect an outlaw...BUT
... to paraphrase John Wayne: “life is hard… It’s harder if you’re stupid.“ As a retired Green Beret, i can see the whole the-hell-with-it brotherhood thing, but as a long time practicing criminal lawyer, i can’t see the celebration of bad decisions, prison time and debauchery invariably ending up as lessons NOT learned. Nonetheless, it is these kind of renegades that I firmly believe are the first Bull work against government tyranny and social apathy. This book is not good writing…in fact, it is a story told with a certain degree of slope headed mendacity… But I think I have enough sense to sidle up to the Hells Angel side of the fence if the shit hits the fan. And in today’s age of kowtowing conformity, I’d rather be with Sonny Barger than with all the Sheeple on the West Coast...and elsewhere.
