Publisher's Summary

Belle Sorenson Gunness was Norwegian-American serial killer who stood six feet tall and weighed more than 200 pounds. She ended up killing most of her boyfriends and suitors. Horrifically, she also murdered two of her daughters. This is the biography of a ruthless woman whose abominable deeds earned her nicknames such as Lady Bluebeard, Hell's Belle, and the Mistress of Murder Farm. She has gone down in history as one of the most prolific serial killers of America.

Awkward writing and stilted, robotic narration

This isn’t a book, at best I’d call it a brochure about Belle Gunness. And I promise you won’t forget her name, because it’s said in full in basically every sentence. The only thing worse than the awkward writing style is the stilted, robotic narration. I was sure it was a computer. Mispronounced words abound. Arkansas pronounced like “are Kansas”, strychnine with a soft ch sound. You’ll get no feel for this story thanks to the combination of the writing and narration. Decent overview of you’ve never heard any of this information before.
