Sweet story

A sweet and funny story despite not being super relatable for most Moms, especially single Moms.

Classic Mindy

Humorous and informative. Love Mindy’s self deprecating humour! Look forward to listening to the other short stories.

Perfect for when you’re feeling like company but you don’t want to actually talk to anyone

Mindy writes like she’s sitting across the table from you with the mimosas at brunch.

Yes, I said Brunch.

Yes, it has to be that specific stereotypical set-up because brunch is amazing. Brunch is uncomplicated; it doesn’t judge you for showing up with mascara smeared under your eyes, wearing your jammies or your Walkashame heels. Brunch is basic and that doesn’t matter because everyone loves it.

Mindy’s writing is just like brunch(but not basic). It’s accessible, easy to digest, and a balm for the soul. At the end her writing somehow leaves you feeling a little brighter and a little more hopeful about the world.

Look, I don’t know what that means either, I just know I enjoyed the heck out of it. I listened to her essays and I did the dishes and made bread.

I don’t like to do either of those things but somehow these essays made me do them both. So now I’m a better person.

So listen to these essays and You can be a better person too… Probably… Somehow

Mindy is delightful

I love hearing her read her own work. The story of her "baby nurse" and their relationship was heartwarming and sweet. The poignancy of being a single Mom when you've lost your own Mom years before was not lost on me.

Such a delight!

As with all things Mindy (I'm sure when we meet we will be best friends), I didn't want it to end.
