Publisher's Summary

She'd saved his son.
Could she save him as well?

Laird Gavin MacKinnon is a changed man - and not for the better. Ever since his young son, Ewan, disappeared two years ago, Gavin has grown callous and bitter. Scouring the countryside, his search leads him to a mysterious woman who maintains the boy is hers. He decides to take them both and ask questions later.

Deirdre MacIntyre will go with the brooding laird if it will keep her son safe. Gavin has to admit that the beautiful lass has a bond with Ewan, and things aren't adding up. When Deirdre's clan comes to claim her under threat of war, Gavin has a choice to make: fight for her or let her go.

Excellent..

This book had me laughing, snickering and tearing up. It is an excellent book to spend a day listening to.
The but. I was waiting for a bit more, more interaction with the brothers maybe or with the villain? It all was so short. The love story was sweet and steamy.
I look forward to next book with much anticipation and recommend this series wholeheartedly and will listen to them again in future!

Good but not my favorite

Probably liked this one the least of the series. Rosalyn Landor was perfect as always but the story was a bit frustrating. ** SPOILER ** Found it a bit odd that ALL the brothers went hunting when they knew their was a possible attack pending. Really? You don't leave a couple of the brothers to ensure the H/H safety? This book seemed more of a filler between stories than it's own story. But I recommend as a continuation of the series.

Highland Captive

5 Stars to the narrator for her excellent performance in narrating the story. She did a wonderful job distinguishing the voices of the various characters. 5 Stars also to Alyson McLayne for this wonderfully enchanting story. You may need a tissue or two along the way, but it ends on a happy note. I was hoping for a bit of extension in the epilogue to show us their next step forward, but I love this series! 💗

Gavin's Story, Yeah! 4.5 stars

I purchased this book outright because I didn't want to wait until it got on the Audible Escape list. The whole series is very good and the storyline really varies from one to the next. I was looking forward to Gavin's story and it did not disappoint. I would have given this book 5 stars, however, towards the end it kind of went flat and the story wasn't really clear. Even with that, I hope there is a book 5. Rosalyn Landor is great as always.

LOVED THIS SERIES...

I totally enjoyed this entire series. Good writing, great stories, and loveable characters. All this coupled with the narration of Rosalyn Landor and you have a wonderful series!! I found myself laughing out loud at some of the craziness. I really wish the author would continue the series. Please please... if I beg will you do more??

Good, but not my favorite

I do love this series because of the heroines. This heroine, in particular, did nothing but irritate me making the overall experience less than what I was expecting. The weak, crybaby, complaining, overly attached and miserably lonely heroine, Deirdre, was disappointing compared to all the other smart, strong and self-loving women within the Gregor MacLeod family. Again, the series is wonderful and narration too. Now, if you prefer this weak type of heroine, this book is for you. There is nothing wrong with the plot.
