Publisher's Summary

I’m here to protect his body, not claim it.

As a bodyguard there is one line I won’t cross: Never sleep with a client. Not even when the client is the first man I ever had a secret crush on. I’ll keep him safe during the media storm that surrounds his coming out. We’ll be together every minute. Constantly. But he’ll never be mine. I will not sleep with a client. And I can’t come out. Silver has always made me want things I can’t have. This time I don’t know how I’m going to resist.

They say rock stars don’t follow the rules. They lie. I’m ready to change everything. But I may have picked a fight I can’t win. Not alone. Enter Bram. The second the bodyguard shows up, I know he can keep me safe from my evil ex-manager. Is it possible he could be more? He’s as hot as sin, and I want him in my bed. Even though starting something with Bram would cross every line. But every rock star knows that rules are made to be broken.

Evil managers, hot bodyguards, and rock and roll tie together His Dark Savior, a bodyguard/rock star romance!

A steamy forbidden romance!

This was an amazing start to a new series

I liked Silver and Vram's chemistry.
The Forbidden tabboo romance was interesting and I liked how it played out.

I absolutely loved the narration. It was pretty smooth, engaging and coherent. Which is a plus for me.

In definitely looking forward to listening to the rest of this series.

The Bodyguard and the Rock Star

Titan bodyguard employee Bram is tasked with protecting rock singer Silver from a blackmailing record executive. Silver (whose real name is Sam) relocates to his small hometown in response to the threats of violence. This allows Bram and Sam time to fall in love.

The romantic parts of the story are great. Bram and Sam are sort of reconnecting, as both men are from the same small town. They go places together and have get-to-know-you conversations. When the sexy times come along, the scenes are loving and caring. I wish there had been more of this kind of interaction between the two of them.

The book centers on a suspense plot that I didn't find very compelling. In fact, the resolution of the blackmail scheme is fairly implausible. The twist at the end is not believable at all, in my opinion.

Austin Jay does a nice job with narration.

This audiobook was a free review copy given to me at my request. The opinions I express in this post are voluntary and written honestly.

Recommended.

Awesome!

So being able to connect emotionally with characters in a book is a good thing, right? This book you can almost imagine yourself in the lives with the characters! So good! I laughed and cried and worried right along with these two. Finding your lost first love is so sweet!!

Interesting

This is the first book in The Titan Bodyguards: Duty and Desire Series. An enjoyable book although it wasn’t a smooth read and rather predictable. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. The characters were developed and thought out. Sam or (Silver) and Bram are the MC’s of this book. The narration was good and made the book more enjoyable. I can recommend this book as a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

sooo good!!

Silver is a rock star and needs a body guard, Bram is an ex soldier. They grew up together with Bram having a crush on Silver when they were younger. They have hurdles to get thru but in the end, sooo good! Austin Jay did a fantastic job with the narration!

Bodyguard and the Rock Star

This is the first book in the new Titan Bodyguard series. This is Bram and Silver's book. Silver is a rock star in serious need of a bodyguard. Silver has turned against his former slimy manager and now he and his bandmates are receiving threats. Enter Bram, ex soldier . In his teen, he knew Silver and had a major crush on him. Now he is tasked to protect him and his heart.
They both felt this huge attraction but Bram is determined to keep his heart our of it.
What happens next is them learning each other. They fall for each other. Now it's up to Bram to keep Silver alive.
I throughly enjoyed everything about this story.
The narrator is new to me. I enjoyed listening to him.

Great book and pretty good performance

I was given a free audio copy from the author and the GRR arc team for review.

Bram and Silver grew up in the same town. Silver came from a rich snobby family and Bram actually worked for Silvers mother doing gardening/lawn care. Bram harbored a crush on Silver his whole life so when he gets called to be a bodyguard for rock star and he sees it's his school crush, he is shocked and the feelings are still there. Silver however doesn't remember him at first til he starts to put pieces together. What he does know right away though is that he's attracted to the bodyguard. The problems standing in their way are Silver isn't out, Bram isn't out and Bram can't mix business with pleasure. He is there to protect Silver after he accused his ex manager of misconduct and had recieved not only verbal threats on his life but also physical acts of harm. So Bram must keep his feelings out of the situation to keep Silver safe. The temptation however is just too hard to resist.

I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. The premise is great and the plot was entertaining and kept my interest the whole way through. It didn't overreach and was believable. Just when you think that everything is obvious and predictable there is a little twist to surprisd you. At least I didn't expect it. I still would say this is a lower angst read though. The 2 main characters were well developed and had great chemistry. Their scenes together were very hot but they also had great chemistry outside of the physical. I would definitely recommend this book and will read more from these authors.

If I had any complaint it would be that the cover and even the title of the book gives off a much more intense vibe than the book actually entails. I actually almost passed it by for that reason alone as I don't like major action tropes and stereotypical tough hero types. But after reading the write up it called to me and I'm glad cause it really wasn't that kind of book and it really showed Bram in a softer side which was great.

The narrator had a great voice, kept a good pace and did a pretty good job expressing the emotions but he didn't really differentiate between the voices which was a little disappointing.

Looking forward to reading the next one. Even though I don't usually go for books about royalty the epilogue in this one has me intrigued. The Prince seems like a fun brat.

Ok listen

This is a sweet story. There's a lot happening and it's a good start to a series I think there was a lot of set up for future books and it's a little confusing at times with all the characters. Overall it's a pleasant listen with good narration but nothing spectacular.
