Publisher's Summary

Welcome to his extremely sexy dark side....

Everyone thinks Colin Fairgood is exactly what his PR machine tells them - a country superstar with a killer smile and dazzling blue eyes.

But I met him before his country makeover and fame. Colin has a dark side…one that takes me places I've never been. One that makes me want to do very bad things with him. One that makes me scared of him. And even more scared of myself.

I don't know what kind of endgame he's running on my heart, but he's definitely playing for keeps. And if I'm not careful, he's going to win.

But what will happen when he finds out about my past? And discovers all my secrets?

One thing’s for sure: when country superstar Colin Fairgood collides with me, a songwriter with everything to lose, it’s going to be one hell of a story.

Listeners beware: The first scorching hot, dark, stand-alone romance in the Very Bad Fairgoods series is not for the faint of heart or sensitive. It’s guaranteed to please those who prefer extra-hot loving with a wickedly kinky hero. But seriously, do not click the heat unless you know how to handle the flame!

🎻🎸🎵🎶🎤COUNTRY MUSIC THEME!!!

Loved the steamy romance, the back story, and the telling of how difficult it is for a black woman to get recognized in the country music industry.
The narration was not over the top with the accents. Worth reading. This was my second of the 50 loving states. Impressed by T. Taylor. Please add more on audible for a bigger audience. Have always been an avid reader but my eyes are weaker now. I would still rather read some books but the acting out by narrators gives it a touch I may not have reading it.

Sexxy

This author is amazing! I look forward to her books and this one is no exception right from the beginning this story pulled me in and held me captive. I went back to listen to certain places again and most definitely Will listen again. I love the country twang of the narrator reading for Colin and I love how she calls her by the color of her hair. That whole cabin thing was a big game, she may have been a little naive but she knew and when she tried to run.... oh lord! she played right into his hands. I think the story was a little misleading when it came to Bo but it was good. I enjoyed how she ties bits and pieces of other stories into the new story. I am ready for book two and audible needs to catch up cause I am about to read it on Kindle. I want all of her books on audible.

Not AT ALL for the faint if heart!

Read these words slowly.... This book is INTENSE intense! It is NOT AT ALL for the faint if heart. There are scenes that make me clutch my invisible pearls and make me want to call the police or someone to help the female lead...but oddly enough, many of those same scenes have me saying HOT DAYUM! This book also is quite hilarious and as usual Clementine has me completely checked in to whatever she is selling with her narration. Bottom line, if you are pretty liberal in your adult relations views, you will probably be OK. If you are not, listen anyway cause this book will definitely teach you a thing or two. 😉

Excellent

I’m a Theodora Taylor groupie as it is. As always Clementine Dove narrates so wonderfully. She captures all the characters so well. I have all the audibles and books. I have yet to be disappointed.

Still Scratching My Head

The book started with irritating characters that never got better. For me, all I felt was a man controlling a woman. Collin was mean, degrading, and not a likable person. Kyra was supposed to be a strong female, pursuing a dream in the music industry as a songwriter, but she fell short by letting two boys control her as a teenager, and then again when they are adults. Funny, how she shut her mother out of her life, but let Collin run over her like a road map. The shameful beg to take her back at the funeral was just unheard of realistically. For the family to watch that sad act take place and do nothing says a lot about them. I even questioned the grandmother wanting her favorite grandchild to be in such an unhealthy relationship. No, this audiobook was not for me. And the light BDMS was not the issue with the book, but the unlikable characters themselves and the lack of love or any romance between Collin and Kyra outside of the BDSM. Only Beau and Josie showed any love in this book.

I won't say don't waste your time listening to this book; that's not my decision to make for other listeners or fans of Ms. Taylor. I have other audiobooks of hers that I love and listen to over and over. This one I want to return. I would never tear down an author for writing what is in their heart. I'm only giving my honest review of how I felt about the book.

INTENSE

Their chemistry was so intense that I couldn't put it down. There were plenty of LOL moments with her family especially and a surprise here and there. Will read again and soon.

Ohhh my gosh!

This book was so good I didn't want it to end! This is seriously the best audio book I've heard thus far. The narrator was AWESOME! I bought this book when it was first released and was hesitant to buy the Audible because I didn't think it could live up to how good the book is. I was proven wrong.
