Publisher's Summary

OCD-afflicted Griffin has just lost his first love, Theo, in a drowning accident. In an attempt to hold on to every piece of the past, he forges a friendship with Theo's last boyfriend, Jackson. When Jackson begins to exhibit signs of guilt, Griffin suspects he's hiding something and will stop at nothing to get to the truth about Theo's death. But as the grieving pair grows closer, listeners will question Griffin's own version of the truth - in terms of both what he's willing to hide and what true love means.

Adam Silvera did the Adam Silvera thing where he made me cry a lot with all of his beautiful words and emotions. What a brilliant novel.

Heartwarming yet heartbreaking, a true masterpiece

A wonderful love story that isn't just a happy ending. It's rare I like books where one of the protagonists is only seen through flashbacks or memory chapters, but this one is different. I feel connected to all the characters, even those who are dead by the book's start. Along with such wonderful characters, the portrayal of OCD is one of the few accurate ones i've seen so far in a book. I really appreciate how the author paid high attention to detail while adding this element into the story. Overall, great read/listen, worth your time!

Excellent Story, Excellent Narration

Very moving story that winds through the grief process beautifully and realistically, in my opinion.

Adam Silvera is perfection.

This book.

This book was beautifully written. A true to life telling of what grief and breakups can do, what love can do. I never knew I needed this book until parts had me crying, reliving old grief I didn’t know I had been holding on to.

As good as they both die in the end, and better yet, to me.
You will not be disappointed.
