Publisher's Summary

Morrigan battles a new evil as a strange, frightening illness takes hold of Nevermoor in this captivating and heart-pounding third book of the instant New York Times best-selling series.

Morrigan Crow and her friends have survived their first year as proud scholars of the elite Wundrous Society, helped bring down the nefarious Ghastly Market, and proven themselves loyal to Unit 919. Now, Morrigan faces a new, exciting challenge: to master the mysterious Wretched Arts and control the power that threatens to consume her.

But a strange and frightening illness has taken hold of Nevermoor, turning infected Wunimals into mindless, vicious Unnimals on the hunt. As victims of the Hollowpox multiply, panic spreads. And with the city she loves in a state of fear, Morrigan quickly realizes it's up to her to find a cure for the Hollowpox, even if it will put her - and everyone in Nevermoor - in more danger than she ever imagined.

It has been a very long time that I have felt invested in a book but this one pulled me in. I didn’t want the story to end. Well worth the wait.

Wish it was longer & detailed more

I wish it was longer and had more elaborate details like the first two. They were more fun and magical. This was still a good story though.

Amazing

My whole family has been waiting for this book to come out since we finished Wundersmith and we weren’t disappointed. This book is glorious, so clever, funny, and thought-provoking, with a wonderful plot line and always makes us laugh. It is read superbly. We highly recommend the whole series, and this is the best book yet. My youngest kid (11) has listened to it on almost constant repeat.

This series keeps getting better!

I absolutely devoured this book! Townsend's storytelling is second to none and I hope that this series overtakes Potter fame. The story of Morrigan Crow is not only rife with the necessity of finding your own voice but the other characters' voices as well. I have already read and re-read the first two books multiple times because they are some of my favorite escapes. This book is no different. Also, I have been hard-pressed to find a more talented narrator than Gemma Whelan, her character transitions are immaculate.
