Publisher's Summary

Hollywood is indelibly printed in our minds as the ‘go-to’ place for entertainment and has been for decades.

When there really did seem to be more stars in Hollywood than in heaven, Hollywood Stage had them performing films as radio plays - on the sponsor's dime, of course.

Classic films now become audiobooks, with many featuring the original stars from way back when. Here's Strangers on a Train starring Ray Milland and Ruth Roman.

Brilliant radio drama of the Hitchcock movie!

I loved this radio drama. It was as entertaining as the movie. Ruth Roman and Patricia Hitchcock reprised their roles from the movie. Ray Milland played Guy Haines and Frank Lovejoy played Bruno Antony. I like the short interview with the stars after the story. I believe this recording was from 1952 as Ray said he just finished Bugles In The Afternoon (which came out in 1952). I kind of thought it was interesting to hear the advertisements they had back then. Narrated by William Keighley.
It was a lovely way to spend an hour.
