With three younger siblings to support, she knows she has to marry for money, but who might have guessed how desperate she's become? Featured Article: The Bridgertons Audiobooks in Chronological Order

In a fictional Regency-era London, the Bridgerton and the Featherington families depend on the marriages of their many children. Bridgertons has won over the hearts of millions, and Julia Quinn has likened the series to "a Cinderella story." Shonda Rhimes adapted the series of romance novels into the hugely popular Bridgerton Netflix series. Although a different character inspires each volume of the series, it’s best to enjoy the saga chronologically.

The perfect author / narrator duo.

I will happily listen to anything these two create. Rosalyn does an amazing job of bringing Julia’s stories to life.

Love!

I have been on a Julia Quinn book reading binge for a while now and I can say that this is one of her best. I love this story and I love how much of Lady Danbury we get. She is one of my favourite characters.

Cute all around

Enjoyable storyline, interesting characters and good narration. It was also quite entertaining. Love the fact that the love grew without involving sex.

Heroine’s overreaction ruins it

I like Julia Quinn’s novels but would not recommend this book. The first 80% of the book is pretty good but the heroine’s overreaction, attitude, and sudden pride, etc. last 20% of book after she discovers H’s true identity was not enjoyable and ruined the book for me. I also agree with the other reviews that throwing in the H’s friends Caroline and Blake Ravenscroft last minute also didn’t fit. Overall the angst and freak out when she learns H is a Marquis was painful to read.

Fun in parts groan worthy in others

I think almost every romantic cliche was in this book but the vocal talent is great and I laughed out loud in several places. If you're new to this author, this is a great book to start with as the rest of her books are a cut above this one. If this is a favorite author of yours, you'll still enjoy the book but it probably won't make the dog-eared shelf.

Sweet mistaken identity, cozy mystery, interfering old lady Romance!

What a cute, sweet book! It kept a smile on my face! I wanted more Lady Danbury after finishing the Bridgerton series and this definitely satisfied my cravings. There was plenty of humor with the antics of Elizabeth’s attempted adherence to the how-to book How To Marry a Marquis’s edicts, James’ subterfuge and Lady Danbury’s interferences. As usual, JQ does a lovely job weaving in family and how they both love and irritate each other - sometimes at the same time!
The cozy mystery, if you can call it that? Was a fun little background but didn’t take over the romance. I loved seeing these two get to know each other and fall in love. These are JQ’s best books imo, she allows the main characters to really spend time together and just naturally fall. Again, makes me smile!

Very Enjoyable

Cute book. Elizabeth has a lot on her plate and she needs a husband badly. Julia Quinn does not disappoint when it comes to these types of stories. They are very entertaining.

How to Marry A Marquis

I enjoyed this book very much. I like any book that has kids in it. The book was sweet, funny, and ornery. It’s worth a credit and free with Audible Romance.

This one was just ok; waste of a credit though,
Still looking for another one like “The Duke and I”.
