The voice, tone, rithm and pronunciation of the narrator are awesome. My only complaint is that some examples could be better.

Very good information and excellent narrator.

The first chapter was worth listening to as it contains some general advice.

The book seems to be mainly about techniques of winning debates and legal arguments, more so than about public speaking in general.

Very American-centric. Almost all examples used are detailing historic events in American politics, or discussion of the American constitution.
Eventually lost interest and quit.

Not really what I expected.

I feel a little mislead by the title - its not so much on how to speak effectively, but how to write an effective speech. I wasn't looking for lessons on logical fallacies. And while using a law classroom lecture might provide a concrete setting in which to talk about the ideas,.it is not one that piques my interest. The editing of piecing the law lectures with a fill-in statement or a replacement statement is not seamless and a differential in ambient noise can be heard. All in all, if you haven't spent much time in writing speeches or spent time thinking of what is said, there are some good tips in here and then some wisdom on how to deliver it. But if you are just looking for a book on details and nuances of oral communication, you might have to sit through a bunch of stuff you didn't sign up for.
