Story
When the vampire stalking me sent me a letter, I was prepared for my new life with the man I love to get thrown into chaos. But as the days stretch on and nothing happens, I become determined not to allow that monster to rule my life and decide that Marcus and I will move on. We can’t always allow the past to haunt us. If that includes pestering Marcus and harassing my fellow detectives, they’d better learn to love it because I’m not going anywhere, even if they like to remind me I’m the only human working in a department filled with vampires.

Story
Smart men never dabble with demons. I never claimed to be smart, but at least, I’m powerful enough to control them. When I bound Havoc to me nearly 300 years ago, I never realized how difficult he’d make my life, although “accidentally” lighting him on fire every now and then does bring a smile to my face. Havoc is handsome, mysterious, and somehow, my closest companion, even if we don’t always get along.

Getting into the vampire-only detective unit was the easy part. What’s going to be more difficult is dealing with my new partner - an ancient vampire who keeps threatening to eat me. The unit has never had a human in it. Marcus - or, as I like to call him: Fangy McFangface - would really prefer to keep it that way. He’s grumpy, short-tempered, and broody, but I have a way with words, and I know he’s starting to like me, even if he swears he’s not.

Story
Bookish, snarky, and fiercely independent Nate Boudreaux leads a solitary life. Between teaching classes at the university and working toward his PhD, he doesn’t need a partner to occupy his time, and he certainly doesn’t need a man like Alistair Drake complicating his future. Alistair Drake, black sheep of the tremendously wealthy Drake family, is more interested in adding another notch to his bedpost than another zero to his bank account.
Publisher's Summary
Sometimes you've just got to flip your big dumb alien onto his stomach and teach him a thing about masculinity. It's not how much you've got - it's how you use it.
Finally, everything is going good for Carter. He's not a slave. He has a roof over his head. He's fixed his alien language translator and now can talk to Pykh and Siel, his protectors.
Thankfully, they aren't promiscuous alien hillbillies. They're loyal men who love him, and Carter loves them back. Our space marine is ready to settle into a new life on the fleaf'akhie planet and be happy.
But now there's another problem. On this planet...he's the girl? And not just any girl, but a pale, delicate, exotic princess who must be bowed to, courted, and entertained with poems.
What's a tough space marine to do, being treated like this? Setting them straight would be easy, and Carter does come clean to his hopeful fathers to-be, but now a golden-armored general brings a carriage to take him away to safety. Carter must play along with the princess act, or he and his new family may be turned away at the gates.
Contains mature themes.

"epic shits, laughs and drama"
Review by Mel Genre: LGBTQIA, M/M/M, Sci-fi Romance 5 Blue Roses 4 Blue Flames Narrator Joel Leslie gave an entertaining, yet hilarious performance of this ludicrous playful sci-fi series. His unique ability to portray “stupid” cracked me up which caused several drinks to be reverse snorted through my delicate nasal passages. The author’s ingenuity and creative vision carried my off to a world I couldn’t predict nor foreseen. The characters and the world building, together with the “Omega- verse” is 100% believable and realistically done. This was not just a concept taken out of thin air, but rather built on from the start of this series. The secondary characters are exceptionally well developed as well, I ended up hoping I can see a movie made from this series. The cleverness and wit is so unexpected which made this one of those series I would definitely listen to again. I’m going to put it forward for a 2020 Blue Encores nomination. I definitely recommend this series. It is longer than the usual, but since it’s so full of epic shits, laughs and drama, it felt way too short for me. Happy Listening

Who couldn’t love Pykh?
I really enjoyed this series. I just loved Pykh, he literally had me laughing out loud. My partner commented, "I could really tell you enjoyed listening to your new series, I heard you laughing and saw you crying a few times.” He was correct, one of my favorites! This was a new author for me too, definitely going to check out her other works. And Joel Leslie, perfect as always.

Hooked on Space Cats
I know the cover and title and even the premise seem a bit campy. I listened to the first in this series because people were raving about it and I'm not opposed to the occasional alien love story. This one is fantastic and Joel Leslie brings them to life so beautifully. I waited for the audio on this and I'm glad I did. Don't get put off because this doesn't look like something you would typically like.

Disappointing
The premise was interesting but it's very confusing writing. Plot moves along slowly with too much attention to every characters feelings and emotions. There are four different characters that speak and that made it difficult to follow. I usually enjoy Joel Leslie but not here. His narration was overdone. It was very disconcerting when he used a forced voice for the foreign words that the aliens didn't understand and the shouting was unbearable.

LOL 😆 I can't help but love this series ❤
This series!! 😂😫😭 The title pulled me in from the start because sometimes I'm in the mood for an outrageous story, but I really was surprised by how sweet and heartfelt these three are. I'm not usually into a threesome but this changed my mind. This series has become one of my fav feel good listens, as I love hurt/comfort and it's very cute and funny in places. The only reason I didn't give it full stars is because it doesn't quite reach it's full potential, in my opinion. Sometimes the story seems to get lost in a tangent, in which case I zone out. Also, Carter can be extremely annoying just how the narrator voices the "alien" words, which occurs frequently. I tend to just tune it out in my re-listens. I also wish that that the story was just a bit tighter; sometimes the way the POV changes leaves me confused spatially and I have to spend time trying to figure out where and what is happening, but I guess that could be a listening instead of reading issue. Overall though I love it and I want more from this author!! ❤❤❤

Some deus ex machina nonsense
The first two are ok, but ick, this one was bad. She sets up the maze and everything as much as she can (albeit predictably), but then let's the ending out the side door. It's such a terrible way to handle it. Was the book too long and she didn't want to deal with the last few chapters it would take to have Carter find what he needed? Must've been. Oh well. It's an okay series for trashy romance, and Joel Leslie does a great job narrating as always, but this final book...it's not worth reading any of them.

Less enjoyable than the earlier ones
This is somewhat a follow on to my review of the previous book in this series (see "Surprisingly Enjoyable"). As I indicated there, I am generally not a fan of the MPreg genre, but found the SciFi aspect interesting enough to check it out. I was eagerly awaiting this latest entry into the saga, hoping for the best but dreading that it might go south. I found this latest entry a little disappointing in that it spent way too much time on the "internals" of the various characters at the expense of the story. In my opinion, the story is paramount, the "feelings" of the characters give it depth, but only to a limited extent, one should not dwell on them obsessively. I found Carter's whining to be very grating and tiresome after a while and the internal dialogs of most of the other characters very homogenous (i.e., they all were expressing the same doubts, fears, insecurities, misunderstandings). I often found myself having to concentrate on which one was currently "speaking". Mr. Leslie's voice differentiation helped, but I still kept questioning who was the speaker too many times. The sub-plot with the General made no sense to me and was never foreshadowed to the listener, so it had all the appearance of coming out of the blue. The old Scout's relationship insecurities were more that of a younger person and not a seasoned veteran, he was blind to too many things. This is probably going to be the last book in this series that I will get as what I feared in my earlier review came to pass (see that review for details). It is somewhat a spoiler so I will not outline it here. Thankfully it took place only in the last 20 minutes of this book though. All I will say about that is that I am disappointed that Ms. Glass took that turn as I think that she could have gone quite far and made the series even more interesting by not going there. I will give her credit though for making it at least plausible within the framework of the universe she created, if still a little hard to swallow. As a final note, to Ms. Glass. Please keep the overall story at the forefront. You need to explore more of the Bugs nature as what you have reveled so far shows them as smart enough to get all their tech and dominate races, but way too dumb to have survived this long. You are hinting at something potentially larger, but I may be reading too much into that last 20 mins. Basically, get the STORY moving. ;-)
