Publisher's Summary

Top cop, devoted sister, and now Inmate 3329: even prison bars won't stop Harriet Blue from seeking justice for the murder of her brother.

Prison is a dangerous place for a former cop - as Harriet Blue is learning on a daily basis.

So, following a fight for her life and a prison-wide lockdown, the last person she wants to see is Deputy Police Commissioner Joe Woods. The man who put her inside.

But Woods is not there to gloat. His daughter Tonya and her two-year-old child have gone missing.

He's ready to offer Harriet a deal: find his family to buy her freedom....

Narration is terrible

The story is difficult to follow mainly because of the narration. I will not try to finish this book.

What A Disappointment!

When I buy an audiobook with James Patterson's name on it, I expect to enjoy a gooood story! When he 'co-writes' with new 'authors,' the story is usually not very good. Also, the narrator with the "Australian" accent adds absolutely nothing to a very dull story! In the future, I won't be so eager to buy everything with James Patterson's name on it. :(

Nothing good to say about this story

It is hard to believe that James Patterson wrote more than two words of this story - his name! There was nothing Patterson-like about the entire plot or dialog. It was slow moving and the "narrow escapes" unbelievable. Don't know if the narrator was trying to talk purposely with an Australian accent or that was her real accent. Either way, it was annoying. Don't waste a credit on this one.

Horrible performance

The narrator never changed voices at all. It was very difficult to tell who the characters were or to even follow the story.

Slow as molasses

The book drug on. I kept expecting it to have more action but it never really did. It was boring and predictable. No real plot twists. The narrator was great but the story was boring. The characters weren’t relatable and you feel no connection to them.

Disappointed

I can’t even listen to this. I’ve started over several times, but I just can’t stay interested. James Patterson’s name used to mean a great book. Apparently, not anymore.
