Story
Neanderthals have developed a radically different civilization on a parallel Earth. A Neanderthal physicist, Ponter Boddit, accidentally passes from his universe into a Canadian underground research facility. Fortunately, a team of human scientists, including expert paleo-anthropologist Mary Vaughan, promptly identifies and warmly receives Ponter. Solving the language problem and much else is a mini-computer, called a Companion, implanted in the brain of every Neanderthal. But it can't help his fellow scientist back in his world, Adikor Huld, when the authorities charge Adikor with his murder.

an amazing conclusion to a great trilogy
this book was great, just as good if not better than hominids and humans, all three are great tho so if you haven't listened to them then I highly recommend all three, just amazing books. I think my favorite part was watching one of the main characters, Mary von, adjust to the lifestyle of the Neanderthals and slowly warm up the idea of living like them, especially near the end. tho I won't spoil that. if you're at all interested in books about other worlds at all then listen to these books

Strange but fun
It’s an unlikely story, but captivating. Would recommend it to people who can suspend belief. Although, it sounds a bit to much Ike a TV show with some critical details missing.
