Story was decent but not much else.

The story was decent but the narration lost 2 stars for me. The other lost star was for the strap-on importance like it's the best thing in lesbian sex when it's a fact most don't use them. I understand some people love it for the position and penetration. I've read a some good sex scenes with them. I just don't like it when the author puts ton's of emotional moments and feelings around it's use like it's more important than sex without a strap-on. Not all of Harper's book have them or the importance on them but it now makes me do research and chance spoiling the story so I don't waste a credit.

Good story Great Narration

I have read quite a few lesbian romance books but this one is now my favorite. A theme thats a little diff, moves at a good pace and a wonderful narration. There is a lot of nicely described sexual scenes that may make you feel the moment without being so explicit that its a turnoff.
The ending made me feel very warm and happy.

This is the first book i listened to by Harper Bliss
And i love her style as well as such a nice easy narration by Carman Rose. I dont see how anyone could find fault with this book.

I enjoyed it!

I loved the storyline and found it delightfully daring to have the daughter and the mother's friend fall for each other. Although the two appear to lack build-up of their initial feelings toward one another, I found the build-up to be strong in the actual coming together and expediting all that followed. I want to say I think the narrator's style was unique and I truly enjoyed listening to her, but I admit I felt I was getting a play-by-play of the story and it at times kept me from getting engrossed in the characters the way that I wanted to. I really don't like critiquing narrators because they make their performance seem so simple when in actuality it's quite difficult, and I value their ability to do so. Carmen Rose has a magnificent voice that I enjoy very much, I'm not sure her cadence worked for this particular story. I'd not hesitate to listen to her again, however. Harper Bliss...well...another enjoyable creation.

Another Age-Gap Classic

Gloria is a widower with two college aged daughters and quite content with her life. At her friend Mary’s retirement party she is seated at the singles table next to Mary’s recently divorced daughter Ash Cooper. When Ashley ages her to dance she feels a tingling that lights her up. Falling in love was never in their sights but the heart wants what the heart wants. Erotic romance. Recommend.

Love this book!!! ❤️

A beautiful love story, with memorable chartered. Ash is so vulnerable and strong...can’t help but be engrossed with her. Then Gloria who has endured life’s treacherous curveballs. She is smart, sassy and intriguing. Together they have undeniable chemistry. I kinda want to live in their town!!! The supportive characters were immaculate and well thought out.
Thank you Harper Bliss!!! Very well narrated Carmen Rose 🌹
P.S. I’m in love with Celine Dion as well

Well done

I thought I would have a slight adjustment period to the accent, but I honestly don’t know what I could have been thinking. I’m always a fan of stories about age gaps as I’m someone that has always dated much older than myself.

Great story

Well done Harper Bliss!!!
Such a beautiful age gap romance! I love the story and the characters. How the age gap was delicately broached. Ash parents were probably my favorite charters. The new life both Ash and Gloria found in each other was endearing.
The narration was not great. I appreciated that the narrator was/used an English accent making it authentic. However, I did not enjoy the narration. It almost sounds as if the narrator was just reading the story, I almost couldn’t tell some of the characters apart. The way the narrator ended a chapter was not smooth at all. There was no smooth transition. Had the chapters not been announced prior to beginning I would have had no clue it was a new chapter.

Mostly soft porn but does have a plot

The narrator was robotic in phrasing so that was distracting from story. She has a nice accent, but cadence was mechanical. Most sentences also ended in an oddly flat delivery of “so and so said.”
Not my fave in romance genre cuz ‘story’ was fifty percent soft porn aka erotic scenes. Will appeal greatly to some listeners.

At times brilliant

The story is great and it might be perfectly performed...but for me it was a tad too dry in the narration parts of the story. The dialog was well done, but the narration was stiff and had me wondering if I would finish the book. I did and I'm grateful.

As always another amazing Bliss story

Another phenomenal great read by Harper Bliss. Each character was someone you would love to meet, except the Ex.
Carmen Rose did an excellent job of narrating. She brought a believable voice to the story. This is a must read!
