The Netherworld: it is a hellish landscape inhabited only by demons. Joining the ranks of newborn demons, Salvos is thrown into the violent, anarchy-ruled landscape of that world. To survive, she will have to learn, she will have to adapt, and she will have to evolve. She will gain experience to reach new Levels of power. Her curiosity aids her but her pride could be her fall. "Kill. Kill them all." It's the first four words Lars usually wakes up to every morning, a voice telling him she's just giving him a "quest" that will help him "level". But even if he wanted to do it, he can't. They're cultivators: beings with ancestral bloodlines that have powers he could only dream of, while he is stuck as a puny human. Even if he could kill them, the people who bullied him, beat him, treated him like a punch-bag pariah for being a "tailless worthless human", he wouldn't. That is, until a vicious group of murderous psychopaths called a "sect" descend on his village.

Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

Death and reincarnation. Kuroe Makoto, the tomboyish ace of her high school track-and-field club, never spared a thought for these things before. However, when she falls asleep in her Tokyo home after an exhausting marathon and wakes up in a fantasy world, those concepts become her reality. Unlike common light novel settings, she isn't reincarnated as the naturally good-looking and talented human hero who gathers a harem effortlessly. In fact, she isn't reincarnated as a human at all. She is reborn as "Chaos", child of the demon queen and heir to a kingdom at war with humanity.

Decent
Quite the enjoyable listen. An MC who isnt afraid of being an alpha, and an author who keeps the character consistent. The NSFW parts were tastefully done and didn't detract from the story. The side characters are developed although the love interests could use a bit of work in the next book.
The performance was alright but the editing could have been a bit better. There was also some parts where the narrators voice would change pitch mid speech and then revert back. Overall I feel that I'm probably nitpicking an entertaining read.
Looking forward to the next one.

Sorta Amazing.
Overall this is Really well written, but I would compare it to a well made Alfa version of a game, the setting, the mechanics, the story are all done really well, but overall it lacks content. A lot of questions are answered with just ‘game logic’. And out of the 9+ hours of play time at least a full 1/3 is description of people and things, or some massive exposition dump. And another 1/3 is dedicated to the opening,
What should’ve taken 3-4 novels was craned into just one, so the MC is basically just jumping from boss fight, to boss fight. The build up is just glossed over and you never really get a sense for how dangerous the enemy is supposed to be, so their never really feels like their are any stakes in the table. It’s like the author realized they spent way to much time building the outside world and had to cram something together for wean we finally got in the game.
The setting is one of my favorite, it’s a fairly (if not completely) Unique take on an isekai. And using a clever cover to built directly into the story to allow the author to effectively power-boost/retcon the MC with an in book cannon justification. I don’t particularly care for it, but it fits, and works well.
the MC playing the villain is not original but it is somewhat rare. With a fun juxtaposition on the hero and villain. With the MC caring more about the innocent NPC’s he’s robing than the hero’s trying to stop him.
my main praise for this is the characters. Their well written for the most part, and the writer sticks to their characters outline in behavior (which is apparently really hard because I’ve found vary few authors who can do that). No one dose something out of place ‘because plot’ the Mc doesn’t do something blatantly stupid ‘because plot’. The MC is supposed to be a clever, intelligent, problem solver, with a serious knack for adaptation, And He Is those things! … than again, a lot of what happens in the book is glossed over or ‘yada yada’ed into the corner as unimportant.

good with issues
why do so many authors nowadays resort to harem novels?
you take a good story that has a reasonable set of characters and of course you have to throw in little boys wish fulfillment.
this cheapens the book and makes it uncomfortable to read when you hit those parts.
a quarter of the way into a good super villain superhero book you get slammed with the character suddenly having a overcharge labito, and 50 Shades of Gray stupidity....
I wanted to see how the plot line went so I went ahead and listen to the rest of it even though I skipped forward whenever they were having the sex play.
sad really that you decided to throw that into an otherwise good experience .

The narration in this is a work of art.
Let's get to the facts: Over powered main character. Made me *actually* laugh a few times. Unique story. LitRPG elements. A lot of 'handwavium'. Those are all pluses for me, but they might not be for you.
The story is a 5/5 for me. The NARRATION IS AMAZING. 6/5. Over 500 audiobooks and mostly LitRPG and this has taken the #1 spot for best Narration of LitRPG. When you hear Crazy Kane for the first time, you'll understand.
