Publisher's Summary
A broken engagement is complex. You were at the ultimate high point of love - planning your dream wedding and future - and, suddenly, the dreams disappeared. It is unlike those people who had a marriage dissolve - who wore the dress, said the I do's, cut the cake, and lived a married life for a few years. They got to experience marriage. They got to have the wedding, the first home, the relationship (whether perfect or not), while an engaged person dreamt of it, romanticized it, and set their future on that picture-perfect life. When that expectation of a perfect future suddenly dissolves, picking up the pieces turns into a nightmare.
I understand you. Let's talk about it, and let's talk about how you will pick yourself right back up, piece-by-piece, and push forward, little-by-little. You will, and I will help you. And so will God, whether you know him right now, or not.
Expanding upon the popular blog post, "Healing After a Broken Engagement", by Diana, this audiobook includes:
- Seven healing sections - focused on the stages of grief, moving forward, embracing singleness, and dating. Each section has tips along with personal stories
- Thirteen emergency sections - for the hard moments you need a friend or advice
- Bible scripture, and a prayer after every section

What the critics say
"In this book, Diana uses her own story of pain to build a bond with her audience concerning a topic that has been minimized and misunderstood by much of the counseling community. I commend her for her transparency and honesty. She steps out of the shadows and extends a hand of friendship to women who will find someone who truly understands their pain. I hope this book will be the beginning of a healing journey from shame and rejection to an awakening of hope and confidence for many women." (Gini Larsen, Director of Biblical Hope Counseling)

Practical Healing with a Christian perspective
This book provides both practical tips for getting over a broken engagement and prayers for encouragement for those recently broken up and wanting some practical tips for how to get over the trauma and devastation of a broken heart, how to navigate in a fair way in a very difficult situation when parties separate like how to let family, friends know, cancelling wedding venues, what to do with the ring, dress, wedding favours etc. Diana also provides hope for those with her her stories about dating, moving on, finding herself, growing and meeting her husband. Wonderful testimony of someone who has gone through something difficult to help others to heal and grow stronger in their Faith in God.

A powerful book for healing
I cannot thank Diana enough for sharing her story and getting me through one of the hardest times of my life. Her voice and cadence is so soothing and inspiring. I absolutely love how she intertwined her growing faith with growing as a human going through something so horrible. This book is touching, educating, and uplifting all at the same time. It was like listening to advice from and experienced friend. I am forever grateful to Diana!!

Transparent, honest, inspiring & soul warming.
This book is so beautifully crafted! It captures the human spirit perfectly, illustrating what it truly means to be vulnerable, to grieve for the loss of a relationship and the loss of a planned future, to lean on one’s faith, and to pick oneself up during hard times and move forward with grace.
I commend the author as she opened her heart and was completely transparent and honest with the reader. She details the full range of emotions that she experienced in the aftermath of her broken engagement, as well as those that stemmed from being in an abusive relationship- leaving nothing off the table for discussion. Moreover, while the content of the book is complex and deep, the way in which the author delivers her message is very simple. It is as if you are having an intimate conversation with a friend, making it extremely powerful.
Last, the author leaves the reader a little hidden gift of scripture and a heartfelt prayer at the end of every chapter. I absolutely loved hearing the author read both, especially her prayers; it was so precious, inspiring and warming to the soul.
If you have ever experienced heartbreak, this is a must read.
