Poursuivre la série
There are scenes in this story that were hard to get through. Steady diffusions of angst. One in particular stands out above the rest (see if you can catch it!) which casts J.E. Leak as Villanelle to my Bill on the dance floor.
As it unfolded, my tender (if somewhat cold), little heart compressed to half its size before plummeting to the deepest recesses of my innards where it remained, battered, broken, and bleeding.
And then it kind of did it again a few chapters later.
Fair warning, folks: This puppy is rich in angst.
But only in parts.
Most of it is sweet and exciting and intriguing and beautiful. An all-in-all perfect ramp-up to the final book in the series.
Also, Abby Craden, who remains my cat's meow.
