About this listen
Trouble is brewing in the small town of Trafalgar. Constable Smith nearly stumbles over a body, the victim of a murder. The deceased was a highly unpopular newcomer who had big plans for developing a luxury resort outside of town.
Smith throws herself into solving the case, in part to build her career on the force and to win the approval of her parents. She is also hoping to impress her new supervisor, Sergeant John Winters, newly arrived from the city of Vancouver, who has brought along his own set of personal problems.

Not great
I’m not certain just how I should rate the story, it was okay but not great. The main character was portrayed as a very naive almost bumbling young female police officer. I believe her character could grow stronger and more seasoned as the series continues and perhaps I will search out this series on kindle.
HOWEVER, I won’t continue listening to this narrator give these Canadian characters the voices of “dumb Canucks”. I felt like her only experience with Canadians was from watching Corner Gas or Bob & Doug McKenzie!!!!! 95% of Canadians do not sound like that 😡
