I like the protagonist Jane, she's tough but flawed and I really enjoyed her development throughout the book. I also liked all the supporting characters! The source of magic in this universe is... unexpected and I'm honestly unsure if I love or hate it. Regardless of my personal feelings about the origin of magic, I thought the book was great and will buy the second one!
