Publisher's Summary

New town, new school. Same story. I'm Laura, I've spent most of my life crisscrossing the county yielding to the whims of my transient mother. We've never stayed in one place long enough to call it home, and I don't have any hope of that changing.

I follow the rules; no drawing attention to myself, no friends, and especially, no boys.

But my mom's been keeping secrets - secrets so profound they threaten to turn my world upside down. I've always assumed her paranoia was a symptom of a mental illness, but as her secrets begin to unravel, I realize nothing is what it seems.

As my life careens out of control, a group of guys from school promise to give me answers about who I really am. I'm afraid of what I might learn, but more afraid of what I could be giving up if I don't listen.

Contains mature themes.

Awesome series

I have now completed the entire series. I really enjoyed it! Easy listen, fairly unique, and complex enough that it drew me in.

Anti-climatic

There was a lot of build up. But the story just danced in circles never really giving anything up. When the book ended I was so disappointed. I was left with too many questions and disappointed that the characters did develop their relationships with one and other. I like the idea of the plot storyline but it just wasn’t developed very well. I like that the man female character wasn’t a total push over that she has a personality and strength but we didn’t get to see enough of it.

can't get past the narration but good book read it

I usually don't like to post negative reviews but I have to warn people about the narration this is a really good book and then the narration I'm sorry is really not good. It can completely turn you off this book it makes you perceive the characters totally different than how they're written. I've never experienced it like this the narration makes the main character seemed completely different and makes everybody seem completely different. again I'm sorry but the narration on only is hard to listen to but it completely messes with your perception of the book in the story and the characters this is a case where you need to read the book it's a good book and the narration ruins it and that's why I'm posting because I want people to know that the book is good unfortunately the narration does not fit and I could not finish and instead read the book. again normally I really hate to leave negative reviews and normally just wouldn't leave one however the book is really good and I don't want people not to get to experience the book because of their experience with the narration.

HORRIBLE NARRATOR

I have stopped and started this book a few times. I still cannot get past the narrator. She totally ruins the experience for me and I have to stop after a few chapters. I’m going to read this one instead. Hopefully, I’ll be able to erase the narrator’s voice from my memory.

Infinity chronical, book 1

I am looking for a new series, I thought I found it in this book. I was wrong. The author has great idea, and this is a great outline. This book just left too many unanswered questions, although I found it interesting. I can't go forward with this series because I doubt that the author will truly answer questions fully. This book just went round and round in circles.

can't get past the worst narration I've ever heard

I usually don't like to post negative reviews but this narration I've heard some narration on here that wasn't great but this is the worst I've ever had the voice is cringe-worthy at best but it's something worse is like nails on a chalkboard the voices are just so bad it's ruin the book for me I cannot finish this audiobook because of the voice is affecting the story it's infecting how the characters come off is affecting everything especially how the main characters coming off I had to write this cuz this narration is just horrible worst I've ever heard I'm sorry I feel bad thing if it is the truth it's a greeting and it making the book come off poorly because the characters are with these awful voices not just the sound but the way it's being read and how it's making the main character sound I just can't

I need to know what happens next.

I went into this audiobook without any knowledge of what it was about, then ended up binging listening to it at work in two days! The build up to the story and how well it makes you feel like you know the characters will make you say "I need to know what happens next"

Bad Narration

I don't usually give negative reviews, but I just can't seem to get past the narration. It is really bad. The story has a lot of potential, but they leave a lot of unanswered questions.

Pretty good

This is an interesting meld of slice of life meets paranormal romance. It has a fair amount of drama, but no more than you'd expect from a mostly teenaged group of people dealing with high school, the learning of new abilities and exasperating (in so many senses of the word) parents. It was an easy read/listen and quite enjoyable on a lower key (aka not as action packed as I tend to gravitate towards). The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars for the narrator was simply my pet peeve of her mispronunciation of one of the main character's names. Other than that, a total worthwhile listen. Oh but be prepared for the food cravings, so many food cravings...

why did I suffer through that?

I have no idea why I sat through that book. It was so boring and the main character was so sad and weak. Nothing ever comes to fruition, just drags. they even stop an important convo to watch a movie. Like what?! Tell us something. DO something. blah.
