Still loving the steadiness of the story. Spice picks up and some scenes are very long, but it fits so well. It's all about the abilities and the personal relationships between the main characters. The pace of this series is rather refreshing. I am a tad impatient about how long it's taking for some things to happen but I feel it will be worth it. For once, I think 4 books to a series like this might not be enough.

This was very slow to unwind, which can be a good thing. But for the whole book I was listening and wondering what is going to happen, when is something epic going to happen, to the point where the book became predictable.
The party needed to be a bigger deal PERIOD. The way it was sold to her was underwhelming.
The intimacy bits were too long and what? nothing else happens after that. I know it's been a short time since things happen between the couple and to the end of the book, but two more intimacy scenes could have had transpired.

I mentioned that the book was predictable it was until the ending, that was satisfactory.

I am no impressed by this book.

I really wish she wasn’t 17 it keeps creeping me out!
Being in a relationship with 4 guys at 17 is kinda gross but if I ignore her age the story it’s to bad just a bit slow

The story is slow going, the relationships are getting better, but I just can't get past her age. the scenes with her and Ares... she's underage, and the age gap is significant enough that it makes me cringe. Also, there's not much going on.
